What language do you propose?
Are emotions not a fact of our life?
Since they are I maintain it is the scientist who is failing to acknowledge a fact, since I acknowledge scientific facts such as gravity, and electromagnetic force
this whole thread is meant to provide factual information to either prove or disprove the existence of god. since belief and the truth of factual information are two different things i would hope you could refrain from sentimentality as a basis of argument. yes, emotions are a fact of life but thats far from saying that emotions create factual defenses for your side of the argument.
pearly gates huh. listen, if i have to believe in Jesus for him to accept me into heaven then i want nothing to do with god. Any god who cant accept me for merely being a good person can flip off. Do you think Ghandi, one of the most peaceful progressives of our time deserves to be in hell? the entire system is flawed, why belief, why not just upstanding morality. the only thing belief systems do well is instill ignorance

You acknowledge emotions as a fact, correct?
If emotions exist, yet defy scientific definition, then cannot God exist, without 'scientific' proof?
I do not recall seeing a criteria for fact. I have seen a host of philosohers quoted, opinions expressed etc, but nothing that would really bear scientific scrutiny.
At the same time I have NOt scene Bible verses, and have read that the Bible cannot be used as proof, as it is a book, which left out in the rain will fade away. That IS a fact, verifiable by scientific verification. Also Verifiable is the fact that the bible can be memorized, and copied from memory. See "One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovitch"
To ignore the existance of a fact does not make the fact go away.

reminds me of the joke about the guy who figures it is better to believe and die into nothinness, than spend your life espousing the lack of an afterlife and arrive without your luggage.

Why is it so hard to do a simple thing like believe In Jesus? Seems pretty simple to me, especially since there seems to be Archiological evidence to support his existance.
If God is to judge you, exactly what criteria do you propose?
