Stop teaching hatred through bad examples. Stop teaching fear through violent reaction. Stop all the killing. Stop all the war. Stop shouting "gung-ho", when you don't know what its like to see some of your loved ones killed; and you're left stan

The money that is stolen daily by many citizens of this country and others who are rewarded for stealing by coming here has this country and it's people losing their quality of life. I just wish someone would stop this theft.
My father died on May 30th, 1990 while I was still in my teens yet I wrote this in 2004 or 2005 when I worked on Cruise ships and inspired to write. In the past, I had a tendency to bury difficult things until I was ready to consciuosly process it through writing...a hobby I wish I had pursued with more passion. Anyways, I thought I'd post it here to mark the occasion.... It is the first time I am posting something this private in a public forum. I'm not sure what category or style this will fit into but I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Thank You.

I was filled with regret for the two hours and 45 minutes I was there, regret for not asking this beautiful woman out when I had the chance, and for not getting kissed by Crystal in my kindergarten class. What can I say, memories of this place were not the best.
I see you every day it's not important you see me I'm the man who moors his boat near your house beside the quay your son is older than me learning issues t'would appear he follows you like gravity like a worry follows fear you never app

I hope none of you ever experience what I did.
I viewed the world's life With my own, with untold strife Full of joys and pain both We are in unison, betrothed Neither could put wrongs right So we sit and ponder into the night We can't go our separate ways So here we sit

Senryu is a Japanese form of short poetry similar to haiku in construction: three lines with 17 or fewer morae (or on) in total. However, senryu tend to be about human foibles while haiku tend to be about nature, and senryu are often cynical or darkly humorous while haiku are more serious. Unlike haiku, senryu do not include a kireji or verbal caesura (cutting word), and do not generally include a kigo, or seasonal word. It is often said that both haiku and senryu can be funny, but that if it’s funny, it’s probably senryu. Both haiku and senryu can be about nature, but if it’s about nature, it’s probably a haiku. In addition, both haiku and senryu can be about nature or human nature. Both haiku and senryu can be serious or humorous/satirical. A serious poem about nature is certainly a haiku. And a funny/satirical poem about human nature is certainly a senryu. Tanka consist of five units (often treated as separate lines when transliterated or translated), usually with the following mora pattern: 5-7-5-7-7. The 5-7-5 is called the kami-no-ku (“upper phrase”), and the 7-7 is called the shimo-no-ku (“lower phrase”).
Written in sympathy for the 50 who were mercilessly gunned down and for their friends, families and fellow New Zealanders who suffer these overwhelming losses. Such terrorist acts are an attack against all who hold peace and each other within loving hearts. May our communities find or construct avenues to reclaim civility and health.
