Even When I Sleep

Even When I Sleep

Sometimes you may see someone that you know or even see someone in a dream that you have never met before. As the dream progresses you find that this person is perfect for you. Their touch is so beautiful. The moment is so soft and sensual. Your mind and body explodes with physical and mental attraction. It's almost like love at first sight (only if it weren't a dream). There are times that we are awaken from these sweet dreams and wish we can somehow get back to the moment that we left off at within that dream. We want to get back to that dream to spend more time with that dream-like love that we have never experienced before. In the dream world, everything is possible; so we experience life in a surrealistic fashion - and then we awaken to reality. This poem is for anyone who strives to fill every loving relationship with the dream-like qualities that you would expect in life and even you sleep

Food for Lovers

The term aesthetic arrest was first used by James Joyce in his book A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. The philosopher, historian and theologian Joseph Campbell, also a Joyce scholar, explained aesthetic arrest as,"A simple beholding of the object... you experience a radiance. You are held in aesthetic arrest. This radiance, the perception of beauty, is regarded as a communication of the hidden power behind the world, shining through some physical form."

The Man Who Never Smiled.

True story. Happened long, long ago. Never got the bird and haven't had a beer in over 30 years. To this day I still have trust issues. Probably why I'm still single! Note: The places depicted here are real but some will be unknown to some International members.

Light of Hope

Light of Hope

Many years, lost in thought, imprisoned by the brain. Lost my mind, all alone, almost gone insane. Through the clouds of dismay, hope was very near. The light shone through, the cause to persevere. Talking now, back and forth, througho

The 19th of October

The 19th of October

Alexander Pushkin wrote this poem when living in exile on the 19th of October – the day when his former lyceum friends marked the anniversary of graduation, in appreciation of their cordial friendship. I have translated only two stanzas of a long poem, dedicated to friendship.

Playing the Loners Game

Playing the Loners Game

The poem/song I wrote is complicated, yet; understandable. I grew up in the Army traveling from one state to the next, so by the time I hit my teenage years I came to realize that I was/am a loner! I really never belonged or fit in anywhere. The girls liked me and the boys wanted to fight me!! lol Til one day in December of 1988, I met this girl, she was 16 and I was 18; and from that point on life gave purpose! The word loner no longer existed. Unfortunatly, over the span of 30 years being together our love lost it's luster. A little over a year ago she told me she no longer loved, nor; wanted me anymore and that she's felt that way for a long time. When I talked of future travels out of state and perhaps living there for awhile, her thought of travels are to the mailbox! lol
