FOUR LITTLE LETTERS

If four little letters placed next to each other
could effectually change our perspective on things,
those same little letters beside one another
that unite husbands and wives with symbolic rings,

What else could be done with such power so Divine
from four little letters positioned in a row
where people are changed by intended design
by the mystical 'word' these four letters bestow?

Could PEACE be the end of all strife amongst men?
Could HOPE be the reward of all who discover?
Could FAITH quench the turmoil of doubt within?
Could SELFLESSNESS develop between one another?

The mysterious power of these four letters in a row
making a simple word that's exalted above all others,
with life changing effects upon all who might know
it's Divine ability of converting strangers to brothers.

These four little letters when placed side by side
will reveal this powerful word I've written of
these four little letters in all hearts should abide
So that toward ALL we respond in nothing but L.O.V.E.

About this poem:
One of my Pen-Pals asked me to consider writing and submitting a Valentines Day poem for the poetry forum, so in honor of "Jib" I have done just that. Being as I have no 'Valentine' of my own, I've made my poem of more of a generality of LOVE for ALL to enjoy. It's early I know.... but HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to all of you wonderful poets of C.S. !!! q:-)

Love's Simple Philosophy

Over the mountains and over the waves;
Under the fountains and under the graves;

Under floods that are deepest
Which Neptune obey
Over rocks that are steepest,
Love will find out the way.

You may train the eagle
To stoop to your fist;
Or you may inveigle
The phoenix of the east;

The lioness, you may move her
to give over her prey;
But you'll never stop a lover:
He will find out his way.

In The Realm Of The Unicorn...(A Love Poem)

An Ageless....Mystical Island...
That teems with fabled life...Floating in...
The deepest blue, ....In intensity,
Surrounded by thoughtfulness.....
...In immensity,
An Ocean... Flowing with kindness,
In...Mystery..... Timeless...
Rainbow'd Halo's,
round beautiful pinprick'd stars,..
...Being tied together by Faeries,
catching them when they fall,
flights of resplendent Phoenix.
Magical beings all.....
Constantly reborn,
in a maelstrom of Angel dust, and fireflies,
..All This Do I see...
...When I Look into Your Eyes.

Love

Makes my life a pitiful sight,
Love eludes me on her ways.
Tell me where to go and find it,
Love continues to go astray.

Love eludes me on her ways,
Catching love is a hopeless game,
Love continues to go astray,
Now I know it's the end of game.

Makes my life a fount of sorrow,
How shall I endure the strain?
Shall I put this heart on altar
As a sacrifice to pain?

How shall I endure the strain?
There's no answer - only chase.
As a sacrifice to pain
I will bring this life to end.

Come what comes - no one's to measure.
Love's a bliss - can't make it right.
For the fortunate ones it's pleasure,
Makes my life a pitiful sight.

About this poem:
It is not as exquisitely and playfully done as Fellsman's, and with no such rich imagery, but it's my first one - like the first love it is very clumsy. But our first love stays with us for ever.

MEMORY LANE

As it was this time I ventured down memory lane,
As sometimes happens, you get stuck in a rut,
It takes you down an unwanted path, brings back some pain.
Even though you know not to go there because it’s sad,
It’s sometimes for a reason, not to punish you,
But just to show that the life you have now, really isn’t so bad.

I remember…..
You telling me, it was for my own good,
While I stood and sobbed quietly
Not wanting to move from where I stood,
Watching with tear streaked face,
Feeling like a tiny fraction of what I was before,
Looking desperately for a trace,
Among the shadows standing out in sharp relief,
In the flickering twilight of my mind,
As you lit the bonfire made from the tattered remains of my belief.
I knew it all once, with vision as clear as a bell,
Our whole life laid out,
I was now blind and lost in a place that I thought I knew so well.
How finally smiling, you leeched all faith from my mind,
While admonishing me like a child,
Telling me how you were only being cruel to be kind,
That you were no good for me, that you would only bring strife,
That I should turn around, never look back,
Walk away and have a good life.

Really, I should thank you for that release,
So…Thank you for my strength, my faith and self belief,
For my new life, re-invented, re-incarnated…….
Rebuilt now, piece by piece.

Longing

Sometimes
Just sometimes
Its too much to bare
My body is here
Your body is there

14 weeks left
I can be held in your arms
14 weeks left
I will be dazzled by your charms

Entwined in your embrace
Engulfed by your compassion
And then I will feel your physical passion

Soon I can touch you in the physical realm
And I when I do
I will be overwhelmed

With emotion and tears and gratitude
That I have been blessed with an amazing man
Like you

These next 14 weeks will be busy indeed
As two blessed Twin Flames
Prepare to
Physically again
Finally meet

Love.....Our First Time.

We feel one another, with each others eyes,
A trembling....A pleasure begins,
We can't hide nor disguise,

Even breath, becomes ragged and fast,
Excitedly, tongues probe,
Exploring fingertips, gently caress,
Building slowly to ecstasy at last.

Then, desperation, anticipation,
Breath in short gasps,
Gripping now, locked in embrace,
Gasps become breathless,
With inevitable pace.

We're both wandering,.....
...Lost now....
In the same indescribable place,
Feeling, seeming on the brink of an abyss...
...Forever,

Then Quickly....Oh so beautifully...
...Our moment comes...
....For us both...
.....Together

~She's never been real~

When I sleep she calls my name
No idea whom she is.
The one that I want
That's never been real.

She lives deep inside
An expected ones thought.
Her lips hold a gloss
Of mirrored red paint.

Her hair's soft like willow
While it passes through your hand.
Not a thing out of place
As she walks bout through town.

At times in the day
I think of her ways.
Coffee in hand
As her pinkies floatin air.

Legs crossed
Her skirt hides
Her panty of cotton red.

A t-shirt of white
Shows her breasts
In disguise.

Mascared, ice blue eyes
On high cheek bones
Rests her smile.

A beautiful mind, perfection exudes, she's never been real
In the thoughts that you have that should never be kept~

Unaware

I woke I read
I’m still in bed
Slept like a log
Felt as a hog

That while I slumbered
You were encumbered
With fear and care
I was unaware

As I read
Here in my bed
Fear, alarm
And even dread

Came over me
My chest got tight
Was I the cause
That you were uptight

I thought, I sought
All came to nought
I knew not why
I did really try

I relived our chat
From yesterday
Reread messages
Began to pray

Then read on
Was pleased to know
It Was not I
That vexed you so

Glad the calmness
Came, as you called
Upon His name
Actions taken, worked

What a gripping write
About your sleepless night
Our chat, relieved my fright
Relax and sleep my dear!

Much more, that I could say
But must start my day
I told you what I thought
Sleep for you, I pray…….

Memories

memory's of us
frozen in time
in my heart
in my mind

warm summer days
hot summer nights
only you and I
and the stars in the sky

I was happy
thought you were too
yet something happened
between me and you

you touched my soul
with your beautiful mind
you touched my skin
new pleasures we'd find

the summer is gone
the peacefulness too
i wish I could find
a way back to you
