The Rivers Of My Tears

Rivers of My Tears

Author: windyweatherly

Rivers of tears running
On the faded wool
Clutched on my shivering
Pale body, weakening
Ingrained with a malady
With no cure
Yet the reassuring hope
And lovely thought
Of your serene childhood
While's yet refuses to part
On the body that turns to dust
Like twisted limbs of your memories
Trying to reach and remold
The foundation of your youth
And as the counsel is cast
Upon the shores of eternity
While the fortress of your will
Is fading into oblivion
The anguish of DEATH escapes
One more time as you
Witness the birth of a new morn
If only to breath one more day..

About this poem:
I have never felt so close to my destiny and as the battle scores me away, I will not go without a fight.

About this poem:
I originally posted this on the very minute the three specialist confirmed that I have at most 90 days to live..Imagine how I felt.

I am so feeling the same but very alive. I can only thank the one closest to my heart who helped me go through and all your prayers. Most of my friends who knew after that.

Thank you again for your read.

A New Found Love

All forgotten are all those days
when my life was but empty plays.
Before you came my life was dark
but now it is like walking in a park.

Lately I think of you all day long
and my life is just a happy song
The greatest thing about loving you
is knowing that you now love me too.

Yes, I shall catch you when you fall
even when I am not really big and tall
I will guide and lead you by the hand
when you are lost or stuck in sand.

But darling, I’m not always strong
and sometimes I also get it wrong.
Many times I too will lose my way
And will need you every single day.

reflections

I may not contain
the realms of your reflection
neither would you give me
the honor to be owned
and yet in your mind
I want to belong
and in its brilliance
get drowned
many a thousand times.

with your strong hands
you already fathomed
the bottom of my heart
and mapped my soul
with your piercing
and penetrating eyes
and
I am well aware, the world
is your playground.

you are nobody's fool
succinct and straight to the points
your exuberance
intoxicating at times
extends here and beyond
like a raging bull
stomping the ground
I stand on.

I know and I understand
when it comes to substance
my heart and my mind
dry like the arid sand
but you made me feel crowned
just by wanting to know
that I made it home
safe and sound.

Porcelain dolls (for Marikia)

With her head in hand she awakens
to another day of emptiness..
She is like her porcelain dolls she
keeps on her window sill, with a
fixed expression and colorfully
painted cheeks and clothes..
Time and the painfull years had
glossed over the yearnings of her
little girls heart, and the woman
she'd become had left her eyes
stained in hopeless tears
In early sunlight she'd pick up a
porcelain doll and imagine a lost
happiness
She'd look to the heavens and whisper
her timeless prayer, 'when shall it be me
when shall my turn come?'
But cruel years had turned her heart into
bitter stone and her dolls seemed to mock
the beauty of her soul.
Then one night she dreamed a dreams dream
Her lover spoke to her in a souls song..
He said, 'Oh, my beloved child, I would touch
the apple of your soul and fall on your lonely
heart as the spring rains carress a thirsty
field
I would clothe your neck with rainbows of
love such as the world has never seen..
And my love, when time has breathed its
last..I will lay my head upon your naked
legs and with bleeding roses in my right
hand we shall walk through heavens gate..

I'm No Angel

You may say
I do lotta of mistakes
That's my way
That's why i feel so in pain
Are you better then yesterday
Would you still feel for me
Im not gonna change
I'll do lotta of mistakes

Im no Angel
I just can't fly away
Im no Angel
Just can't light up your days
I go where life tells me to go
I lisn , I speak & I see you
That doesn't mean
I don't love you ..

Linger

Soft and tender,
Along my thigh.
From my lips,
The softest cry.

Lightly dancing,
Along my waist.
Slow and gentle,
Savoring the taste.

A hot path made,
To reach my lips.
Hungry and consumed,
Arching my hips.

Tracing my body,
With your fingers.
All the places,
Your kisses linger.

No Matter How Far..

Fallen pages lie sodden..
and that is where they'll lie.
he is bound and determined
No he won't give it a second try..
So he paces up and down his
lonely halls
The whole night long...
and tries to put out of his mind,.
The lyrics to that song..
The one that always, reminded him of her.

She stares into the mirror.
and thinks well, I still look good..
I wouldnt have him back again, no not .. even if I could...
She thinks, if I could just find one honest single hearted
man..
Then I can stop my search and that's where my journey will end.

He paces up and down the halls and she looks in the
mirror..
So certain if she could just go somewhere far away from here,
That she would finally meet the one that she was meant to
be with,
And maybe then all the pieces would finally fit.

But no matter how far you go... no matter how long you're
gone away,,,
Something in your heart brings you right back to where you were always
meant to stay.
She's been to Paris France.. to Italy, to Australia and
the UK
She's been to Vermont... and Hawaii only to find,
That there was no where
Far enough ..or pretty enough
To erase him from her mind...
She's travelled thousands of miles.and endured so many endless empty smiles,
Only to realize ..that you never really ever leave, .
The one you left behind.

So she gets on the next bus... to try and bring him back to HER..
And he hops on the next bus back to Nashville on a whim...
And then their eyes meet.. somewhere near Crossville
Tennessee...
It doesnt matter,,, where they've been. only thing
that matters is that now they see...
That no matter how far you choose to go..
Something inside their hearts had always known...
That two hearts meant to be together,
will always find their way home.
No you can't run from love...
No matter how far you roam.
Love will always find a way..
Find it's way back home.

My Gift..

I brought my love
wrapped
in cottons and silks,
its face and hands
washed
clean as an innocent,
I cupped my hands
for love to drink from,
filled
filled
with the sweet
mingling
of joy with fear,
I bared the red
soft
centre
where my heart had been
to nourish my beloved
and turn the hunger inside
into a field in harvest,
But,
my love was tumbled to the ground
doused with the tears from my own eyes,
then tossed aside in a careless gesture,
He who cannot accept a gift of love,
does not deserve it.....

First Meeting

My heart is thumping
We are going to meet at last
Heart keep pumping
My heart is full of feelings I've amassed
I'm befuddled, I'm anxious, I'm not sure
what I am but I'm not myself.
I'm usually calm and cool and don't wince under pressure.
I guess this means I really, really think this is crucial.
Thought I'd be cool but God I feel like a fool.
Panic city! What to do? What to say?
Calm down you dufus. She likes you for
who you are doesn't she?
So I'll just be myself. There are millions
of people who pretend to be someone else.
Maybe she just wants someone to be themself
and not play silly games. That's what I want also
so just calm down and be your charming self
BoyshChrm and all will be well. I want it to
all go well so badly. Strange phrase
"well so badly"...don't use that...it
might be a jinx. Now I'm stressed again
Mercy!! Gotta get this over with!!
Oh what pain!!

Under The Silver Maple

The boy and girl rode westward from the stables that fine day
T'was the end of the summer and first date since they had met
The girl seated on the Chestnut and boy on a dark bay
They'd talked all summer without being alone as yet

Soon they would both leave for different colleges and careers
Their passion for riding would become a distance memory
The simple life would soon become a thing of passing years
Their equestrian accomplishments probably past glory

Hours later they came to a clearing overlooking a stream
A tall silver maple marked the unique dining spot
An equisite place for picnic lunches and a summer dream
The warm summer breeze making the shade so very quickly sought

They tethered horses to a poplar near the clearing
They had brought sanwiches, fruit, pie and wine with plastic glass
The boy with arms ladden and the girl with golden earring
They sat on red and white linen nostalgic of the past

Chatting of the hot summer gone they smiled and laughed
Talked of hopes and dreams and futures that would come to pass
They quickly spoke of things to be as white wine they quaffed
Conversing the honey bees buzzed just above the lass

A hive in branches high above were home to queen and drones
The hansome boy and fair haired girl enjoying chatter
Then came a time when girl and boy spoke in more muted tones
Perhaps Sensing smell of wildflowers abundant scatter

They both fought for single fork that was meant for the apple pie
As if on queue the breeze ceased as if halted in time
As wrestling ceased each caught the other's inquiring eye
Each gentle leaf bent closer as if intent to see a crime

Hand caressed her chin gently to see what was amiss
The meeting of eyes closed out the sense of earthly world
He bent down and while caressing her cheek did steal a kiss
A hummingbird hovered as the girl's hair unfurled

Secure under the maple's canopy of silver green light
Tenderley embraced in passion they whiled away hours
Amongst the satin patina of the hummingbird's flight,
buzz of the honey bee, and fragrant hint of wildflowers

The sun drifted west unveiling the couple to sun's ray
They were no longer under the great maple's safe mantle
They packed not envying the promise of end of day
They road double with girl behind the boys saddle cantle

As they sadly parted and went their own seperate ways
With Visions of ride to the stream and silver maple trees
They knew that they would often remember bright summer days
Luscious beauty of nature and the warm summer breeze

Secure under the maple's canopy of silver green light
Tenderley embraced in passion they whiled away hours
Amongst the satin patina of the hummingbird's flight,
buzz of the honey bee, and fragrant hint of wildflowers
