Two Sunday Poems!

Embedded image from another site

(1) Bitter Sweet

There she was
just a few feet away

Glossed lips
Powdered face
Faux lashes
Contoured cheeks

We locked eyes
then she looked away
cold and distant

Maybe she was
tempting me
to walk in her fire

She was sweet
like sugar

Sugar is what tempts us
pouring upon
our wildest fantasies

Sugar gives us cavities
rots our teeth
our soul
our world

It seems
vanity is
always in style...

(2) Eternal Return

Embedded image from another site

Within the nightly beach wind
my tear soaked path
is renewed with splendor...

Under the moonlit sky
the stars light her black hair...

Surely
she waits...

My new found love
drive away the tenacious evil
the bats of hatred, malaise and anger
the greed of pure lust
from the belfry of my thoughts...

Jasmine incense of answered prayers
I contemplate you
burning all night on the alter
of my lonely heart...

Continuously my passion breath
does not hesitate to chant your name...

From these eyes the Gulf wind
roars and stirs turbulent waves
while I wait for you
to count the stars with me...

My life has been an endless winter
bring to me a warm Spring embrace
do not allow the eternal snow
destroy the tender shoots of love...

Return lover of lovers
pull from me
this poisoned Cupid's arrow
from this your eternal devotees
smitten heart....

The Love of a Rose

A single sole on the shoulder of a giant,
A meaningful role which is all so apparent,
I bring joy to people and even many tears
But my wolf in sheeps clothing can come with fears.

Looking so pretty and showered with bliss,
What follows my arrival is a soul loving kiss,
I will pick you up and represent new light,
For a moment or two there's no fear in sight.

I look beautiful alone and shine so single,
But can mix with my own, a deep loved mingle,
I represent so much and iconic to them all,
For it is i and i only that saves you from fall.

It is by now you should know, for who i am,
A burning red beauty, doing all that i can,
From my stunning smile, to my heartbreaking pose,
To you with love i proudly stand as a rose.

About this poem:
Hi all, i wrote this 2 months ago. I gave it to a family member who entered a comp and she put her name on it. It was 1ST Prize and had coverage but the main reward is that a community of OAP'S had a copy and read it which made it all worth it as its on various walls in old folks homes.......tell me what you think plz!!!! thanks

Love Reality

Cogs of grey membrane turning endlessly
Clutching memories slipping as if pulled by gravity
Endless thoughts and random theories
Midnight frantic dillusions and colourless visions
Stoic face or feigned smiles of fake platitutes
Dreary gloom set over a now vacant and debauched moon
Kiss her hard and pretend to swoon, words rehearsed
to make her believe the absurd
Coerced emotions injected and fabricated and left to bake
Words of affection carefully crafted to prevent rejection
What a strange, paradoxical and theatrical production love is.
Out, out damn honesty. Rehearse the script. Tis not real,
but is what it is ...the thespian wins and the honest fool
partakes of naught, then becomes the understudy to
learn the craft.

Boundless Love

Caped as I am and living a dream
Watch me now as I climb the moonbeam
Unicorn's horn is just out of touch
I'll ride it all day and caress it a bunch
Red rubied eyes in the tiger I lead
I'll saddle him up and go as I please
The Leprecon's gold I'll find right away
Take the coins and spend it that day
Look at me now as I slowly materilize
Wasn't there... but now stare in my eyes
Top hat and tails with rabbit and dove
Can you see me now as I hover above
I ride the rainbow as a prismed spectre
Go to the end where's gold by the hectare
Cross the mountains with a magnificient bound
Then I'll touch down without even a sound
This is just some of the majic I now can do
Nothing is impossible now that you love me to

unwritten text

can you decipher the unwritten text
on a soldiers face
from the lines the creases make
can you read the text from
the wrinkles he expressed
it cannot be put in words
from a soldiers face
a soldiers day
seeing a grenade
blowing his friends to bits
can you read his face
that words cannot say
being shot in a leg
he defends a country he loves
wrinkles on his face tells a story
about love to his land
you won't see it in a written text
which only a soldiers wrinkles can express

About this poem:
a soldier puts his life and well being in front of the country in which he lives it doesn't matter what country this refers to everybody who defends their own country in which they live has an untold story written in the wrinkles on the face.

Rippled Reflections

crawling into my soul
dragging my heart beside it
sliding through the tears
i took comfort

and closed the door behind me

do not knock
do not ring
do not even
call out to me

i must be at rest
at peace
to turn inwards
devour the liking of me

why?

this illusive wandering creature
creeping silently through the knotted pages

must be gentle and yet so fierce

to raise my arms to all the beauty around
and then fall broken gutted upon my knees

the whispering heart
the silent soul
resting
just only resting my sweet love

I will awaken with the fascination of truth
and understanding of
eternal love and passion

this must
just be this way

glancing behind
striding away, was all that was

wiping away all pictures and tears
breathing into my body all that is

on broken plaines
and willowless forests

I greeted the sun
I bathed in the blanket of warmth
wetting my body with the silky warm waters

naked and free
hair flowing about me
reflections greeting mine eyes
come now,
and swim with me

Oh yes

We were one
finally
entwind

Lady

Lady, come and lay your head beside me
let us share with the moon this secret idyll
see the shooting star carve sky with promise
as silvery light caresses soothing us

Lady, come closer share with me the night
lay in my arms and give me your essence
wrap me up in the heat of your passion
love me til that little death overcomes

Lady, as you lie glistening in moon light
still quivering with aftermaths of love
sated though I am the sight of you stirs
with your hair tangled and in disarray

Lady, love me again the night's still young
let us dance once more love's passionate dance
as the moon beams play and twinkle at us
too soon night becomes day and we depart

when in loves light

Oh the spring flight of the soul soars across mystic skies and the heart bathes in the moon light. When the journey of two begins with the morning dew, where the womb of time is infinite. Complex in simplicity two souls gracefuly dance, where heaven weeps joyfully with out a sound. Where two souls enter into the land of dreams, where fantasies run free, where hearts flourish and daffodils sway in the spring breeze.

my hopes

brightened tomorrow
it lightened
the loads of my sorrow
at least for a while
yet seasons had passed
and as the falling rain
yet again washed my pains
and the seeds of hopes
planted in my heart
wilted in your forgetfulness.

Yet my hopes aren't really dead yet.

I will be there

let not the distance
be our hindrance
for the water
upon which you stand on
has become the moving shores
that's dripping on my soul
and this miles between us
is but a brush of the wind touching
your silky skin
and when you close your eyes
I'm not too much of a distance
really
I'm always besides you
sharing the same moonlight
that leads me to your way
all you need to do is wait
and soon I will caress
your gentle and lovely face
soon
I will surely be there.
