I may not contain
the realms of your reflection
neither would you give me
the honor to be owned
and yet in your mind
I want to belong
and in its brilliance
get drowned
many a thousand times.
with your strong hands
you already fathomed
the bottom of my heart
and mapped my soul
with your piercing
and penetrating eyes
and
I am well aware, the world
is your playground.
you are nobody's fool
succinct and straight to the points
your exuberance
intoxicating at times
extends here and beyond
like a raging bull
stomping the ground
I stand on.
I know and I understand
when it comes to substance
my heart and my mind
dry like the arid sand
but you made me feel crowned
just by wanting to know
that I made it home
safe and sound.

When we first met
you said
all you wanted
was a lover and best friend...
Instead I became
your personal handyman
seemingly to repair
your past leaky ceiling relationships...
Maybe to super glue
the many pieces
of your broken heart back together
or oil your squeaky insecurities...
I spent much time
tightening nuts and bolts
in your suspicious mind
seeing they were loose...
But as of now
I'm hanging up
my hammer and tool pouch
no longer your handyman
I'm putting in
my two weeks notice...

Tiny little tears,
Fall on your face,
I wipe them with sweet embrace,
I watch a smile grow on thy face,
I hold your gentle hand,
It seems like soft roses fell,
The tender touch of you could be,
A rose that lasts internally.

All my life I have tried, to build a world beyond what I knew
I took you along the ride
Just to have you on my side
But since I was the only one the lay the grounds
Everything is flowing my way
Leaving you outside the crowds
I try my best to scream your name
But the cheers of thousands make it nothing more then a whisper
I calm the crowds and come to your side
There was only one other time I had seen your make-up run
That was when your grandpa died
I finally saw what you were trying to tell me all along
So I carried you home in my arms and whispered
Baby please don't worry about me
No matter how far I go
No matter how big I get
How much I make
How many fans I gather
How many battles come between us
No matter what happens
Baby please don't worry
I will always be there for you
The moment we reached the front porch
You whispered that you already knew
But something else said that there was more
I asked you what was the matter
Hoping the news would be easy
You told me this
Lover when I tell you, just promise me please
You keep to your words
I will always worry about you, like you worry about me
But please no matter how far you go
No matter how big you get
How much you make
How many battles come between us
No matter what happens please find your way home
And be here for me, cause now I need you the most
I just found out something, but I am very scared
Please, please don't make any mistake
I didn't want to tell you, since you are just starting out
But I couldn't have dared
I know you wouldn't let me take the chance
I just don't know what to do
Every word I heard you say, I could hear another heartbeat inside you
One much faster, as if it was just made
I was getting the feeling of something happening
But I wasn't too sure
So I asked,
What is going on, my Starlight Princess
I watched you smile just a little bit
As memories of when I first gave you that name played once again
You said, I'm pregnant

This momment in time
You can't begin to find
The reason evil and crime
Has captured your mind
Completly taken over
Everything in you that's good
You're not trying to get sober
Not doing what you should
I don't know how to help you
How can I make you see
This thing that you continue to do
Doesn't want you to go free
I pray for you to be strong
And know I'm by your side
With the battle between right and wrong
May God be our loving guide

About this poem:
I wrote this in 2008. I was in a relationship with someone who was addicted to drugs. We ended up going our seprate ways less then a yr. after I wrote this. I learned a great deal from being with him, I was at one point very much in love with him.

Friendship is reaching out to touch
Exchanging small secrets and such
Laughing when things go all wrong
Holding hands as we walk along
Sharing a knowing look or two
Agreeing in most things we do
Having a little spat just for fun
Kissing and making up when done
Sitting close, not saying a word
Letting anger pass by unheard
Holding each other very tight
Praying together for things so right
Staying up all night for no reason
Making love bloom with teasin
All these things and many more
Are the keys that open loves door
that make two hearts beat as one
And let sharing love be so much fun

cherry blossom dreams
bearing colored beams
into river of seasons streams
they wait and whisper through the night
opening together at touch of light
to signal springs maiden flight
the bridesmaids of Beauty's bright

About this poem:
Usually happens a little closer to valentines day,but all the cherry trees blossomed a little early this year. Always amazes me how it seems to happen all at once,as if by some unseen signal.

Each petal falls,
Shall embrace,
Each one falls on thy face,
Each one we can court,
Each one falls down,
Each moment lingers,
Each touching fingers,
Each time were together,
Wishing it would last forever.

I wake up and believe a sound of music,
Rise to light with my eyes,
Feel the tune lifting me,
Hearing right that I found the sight of your song,
Your words that seem to open my very soul,
Gave me strength to stand,
Wanting and waiting to hold your hand.

I always thought
that paper was the lay
then took to writing
and stocked the play
who can i blame
for scenes unheard
let me cross my pen
to be heard
I walk alone
see all the beauty
not ilke the caurosel
of the city
I don't care
don't give a toss
Reap in the rewards
of living
in the loss
You will never know
as are you still to grow
As sweet is living
the fields of shine
will but only
touch you
when you are found
