YOU ARE

You are the treasure I've sought
a dream I've always thought
You are what every woman should be
a sight for sore eyes to see

You are more precious than any bling
your voice like song early birds sing
You are the shooting star demanding a stare
a welcomed breeze in the stifling air

You are that Strawberry with taste divine
owner of looks that defy fine
You are a gift not found under any tree
the piece of puzzle completing me

You are the one love all hope to find
the tranquility in peace of mind
You are the rhythm in my pulsating heart
reason from which I never hope to part

You are what induces shivers up my spine
more desirable than the finest wine
You are everything I could ever wish for
you're all of this and more

U AND I

Bliss we're now experiencing unique
maybe love reaching highest peak
Passion incapable of fizzling out
mutual respect most can't tout

Desire for other transcends mundane
own relation that won't wane
Both lucky ones I declare
"Til Death" allegiance we share

Destiny led US to here
U and I "One" dear

YOUR QUEST

gold hidden 'neath the rugged earth
upon which lay your quest
yet murky and turbid is the dew
that is harvested in a cup of sand
your weakness never sets
over the parched and scorching heat
nor will your strength
ever laid to rest
until you will run out
of your sweats
you will want to know
deep within your heart
why all this land
is covered with blood
and as the world lay witness
and yet mightily unconcerned
to its naked plight

your mind will never fathom
why the rift is burning strong
so you will keep on digging
until you reach the bottom
hoping it will lay bare
all the reasons,
that this blood covered land
is a conflict no more
in the mighty difference
of white and black color
but the gap of those
who have and who don't

the question is...will man ever learn
how to vanish indifference?
give to those that have not
and even out the earth's wealth
so revolt will not explode?

perhaps nobody really cares...
you are alone, abandoned
on this quest..
buried
in a drifting sand
stained with ruthlessness
by the greed of human hand
glued forever
in human blood.

"Desire"

Your desires
engraved in the look
your face,
eye flame.
I do not run away
against the pupil heat
burning skin.
I serve raspberry breasts
swollen with longing
you rock the depth of your hand
mouth by touch
asking for more.
You intertwine the bindweed legs
dewy bodies
you're drowning in relief of blue eyes

Wishful Thinking

I wander alone through this murky wood
Thoughts of you once again fill my head
Will you walk this wood with me someday?
Carve our names on a tree?
Will you take my hand and place it on your heart, kiss my lips, promise we'll never be apart?
Will you catch me when I fall, love me, warts and all?

Is it just wishful thinking?
Or can it be, you also dream of me?

And so as I walk closer to the end of this long and lonely path
I look up to the clouds and whisper
"One day I'll find my way, for now though, come what may"

The essence

In my mind, you are the thought,

in my heart you are the beat,

I can’t live without both,

it’s your love that make me fit.

You are sparkling in my eyes,

in my soul you are the essence,

I couldn’t find that magic twice,

It’s the joy that fulfill me in your presence.

WHAT DO WOMEN WANT

If ask 'What do women want'...not one could truly enlighten me
from all I've ascertained they don't even know... so how could we
Some feel a reasonable response to what they want is "Everything"
it's good guys women always manipulative like puppets on string

I know with absolution being too nice inevitably gets you burned
having been there more than I care to remember is how I learned
How women turn from sane into succubus in a blink is inexplicable
never believe you can figure them out because they're inextricable

The majority prefer looks which reflects the mentality of a shallow mind
women don't realize a true old-fashioned gentlemen are the best find
The outside may be attractive but what truly matters is the interior
the self-absorbed pretty boys are more apt to make woman feel inferior

They pick 'BAD BOYS' likely to be physically or worse mentally abusive
most victims want to flee... while fear turns many others reclusive
Domestic violence lessens if better acquainted before making a choice
if a faint whisper warns 'He's not the one for you'.. heed the voice

WANT to be better to us who go above and beyond to treat you good
appreciate what you're lucky to have and SHOW us the love you should
What women want may be a question without a reasonable answer sadly
the definitive truth behind that mystery man wishes to know badly

Starborn

From the moment you were born...
I sensed your presence.
Your soul slipped...
And escaped my clutch.
The lost look on...
Without hope...
But for you,
I have made an exception....

I would pull all of the stars out of the sky...
And hold them in the palm of my hand...
Just to see your face...
And if the light is too bright, I would gladly go blind...
Just to feel your grace...

I know you...
I have always known you...
I love you...
I have always loved you...
You are my beautiful everlasting star....

Love Is A Decision

Love is not based on a feeling only
There must also be a clear decision
Passionate feelings may die off early
Showing it was just infatuation

One should not need another as a crutch
But be able to stand on one's feet
This will allow each other space as such
And enrichen the sharing when both meet

A love relationship has its demands
It does not ensure smooth sailing always
Be mindful of this in each circumstance
And it will help you survive the rough days

The one that you love should be your best friend
Someone with whom you can share everything
A person upon whom you can depend
In situations that can be trying

As time passes, both of you will change
For change is inevitable in life
Do not consider this as something strange
Learn to adjust and avoid any strife

True love is the most precious emotion
That a person can engage in sharing
It fills the heart with blissful elation
Giving one's life a rich sense of meaning

About this poem:
"Love is a decision, it is a judgement, it is a promise. If love were only a feeling, there would be no basis for the promise to love each other forever. A feeling comes and it may go. How can I judge that it will stay forever, when my act does not involve judgement and decision."

- Erich Fromm - (The Art of Loving)

“But let there be spaces in your togetherness. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.”

Kahlil Gibran – (The Prophet)
