Country Girl

Embedded image from another site

She's just a plain
good old country girl
never complains a lot
doesn't ask you to buy her the world

riches silver or gold
just wants to be loved
a gift that cannot be sold
such a sweet and loving heart..

Smooth talking southern drawl
words spoken peaches sweet
down home girl sexy swing and all
countrified and country fed...

When I first met her
my soul took shape some song
her energy playing master violin
a tune so pure and so strong..

My lady wears perfume from her bower
so lovely inside and beautiful within
country girl the dreamier flower
my soul in rapture above all earthly sin..

Someday, Someway, Somehow, Someone

Someday I will Find the Love Of My Dreams
Someway I Know it will Find Me
Somehow We will Sew up the Seams
Someone will find out My Demean and let it be

Someday I will Feel So Contenting
Someway She will Experience My Life
Somehow the Pleasures will be Consenting
Someone Calm, and without Strife

Someday To Snuggle together
Someway Two can work thing out
Somehow playing Cheerful with a feather
Someone Will Figure out how

Someday My Higher Power will Here My Theme
Someway I am Patient enough to wait
Somehow Coffee in Bed with Sugar and Cream
Someone,Someday, Somewhere, Somehow, Will have that Faith

Maybe Me!

Lying for Love

I should take back the words I said,
using soft tones to mellow you,
the ones I used to get inside your head,
casual love was my only intention too,

The way I spun such a story,
lied only just to make me feel good,
making love to you in such fury,
you fell in deep as you should,

I used you and for a while I felt proud,
now your heart and love for me linger,
your overtures to me now so loud,
suggesting it is time to place a ring on your finger,

I cannot take those words back,
I lied only for my own sake,
evrything I said was just to get you in the sack,
I do not give love I only take,

So my darling with more words of sweet refrain,
I will break from you and let you go,
my love for you is no longer the same,
I am a terrific liar and you should know,

I pretend that am no good for you,
I love you so much I will let you be free,
do not understand me this is what I do,
I am a natural born liar this is what I be.

About this poem:
There are many people who have fallen for this type of person whether male or female they are the users and abusers of love. Just my own interpretation of how they think in their minds and penned this as a user, hope you enjoy and reflect on past hurts from similar lovers.

The Look

I do not know how it happened or why it did,
but you sent my head in a spin and my whole body shook,
normally am shy and like to stay hid,
but you did what no one else has done you gave me that look,

Now am feeling all red faced and slightly shamed,
but deep inside am like a boiling pot,
my heart is pounding wild horses could not tame,
that look you gave is making me feel so hot,

I back track a little to get another look at you,
your head turned and your face lit up in a smile,
I noticed your left hand and saw the wedding band too,
nothing will happen between us but that look was so worthwhile.

About this poem:
Some of us are never meant to be but now and again that look sets the hearts racing and the feelings running amok within us and for a while it is so nice to feel that way too.

First Farewell

Embedded image from another site

A letter found
upon the table
words written all so kind
a sort of sad first farewell
attempting to speak her troubled mind..

She's gone for the day
like a train
that led the way
there is a world I know
such a long way to go..

Then suddenly I see
how hard it was
to write these words to me
a sad farewell
expressed so tenderly..

She'll be back soon someday
finding a rainbow
to lead the way
when she finds the things
she needs to see and know..

It was just sad words that fell
not her heart that said farewell..

"Penitentiary of love"

Her beauty is rare like a
black pearl embedded in an oyster
An innocent smile nestles on her angelic face.
Her chocolate skin is soft like cotton.
Her mahogany eyes glisten in the sun
like stars sitting on the night’s sky.
Her voice is soothing like the tranquility
of nature. Her kisses are sweet like nectar,
but intoxicating like wine.
Her grace is one only angels possess.
My heart holds on to the reins with a firm grip
and rides on the back of the stallion of infatuation
steering me further down this path of love.
Though I maybe lost in lust, but I will follow the
beacon of hope to escape the shadow of darkness.
Though our friendship is in its infancy,
it is creeping like a child, in time it will learn to walk.
She gives birth to a passion that is trap behind closed doors,
away from open eyes, it resides in the depths of my soul,
where it is silenced by this coward heart of mine.
If my love was written upon the scroll in the
heavens above, then she could gaze at the night’s
sky and decipher the secret that my heart keeps.
She seized my heart captive, rendering me
to be a slave to love. For now I’m a prisoner confined
in a penitentiary of love...

Response to Beautifulyou's request.

Oh! Spring, how thou doth gently change
the chill of winter's cold barren range,
thy earth re-born with fresh fragrancy
of bursting buds powered energy,
soft lengthening day prolongs the view,
to the pot-pourri of colours new,
such as snow white daises sight
shine sweeter than diamonds bright,
nestling 'twixt fond meadows green,
where blows the scented breeze serene,
and watery carpets glistening dew,
caress the woodlands rich bells of blue,
as dawns crisp spheres of light invest,
varying hues most splendid drest,
where dew like pearls and opals rare,
make sweet the early morning air,
and the feathered songstress happy care,
pours melody upon the attentive ear,
emotional notes heart felt swell,
tell of love they bare so well,
echoes sweet like vespers tunefully sung,
or where the Matin bells are rung,
where re-occurring echos lull the hill,
to kiss the vales full furrowed rill,
like as a soft sung Mothers lullaby,
chase dull clouds to hurry by,
as in jealous beauty we stand in awe,
to the charms of its abundant store,
revives the restless spirit floating free,
blithesome, regardless all that age can be

Falling In Love

Dancing in his arms heart beating so fast
feelings flood through me as he holds me close
is he the one that in dreams was forecast?
I act cool, he smiles knowing its a pose

I smile back as he spins me round and round
we sit and talk the way new lovers do
to each other glad this love we have found
happiness to both of us long overdue

So in love although we recently met
our life's before us laid at our feet
The more we are together the less I fret
when he kisses me it feels oh so sweet

Passion rising overtaking us both
to each other turning pledging a troth

dedicated to my very best friend Lorraine and her new chap gl in your new relationship

Between worlds

This morning I woke to see you smile,
No birds,no rain or sounds for a mile.
I touched your your face,
You curled into my arm,
'Twas it not for grace,
It was cause for alarm.
You turned and kissed me so many a time,
Describing you, till the very last line..

I blinked for a second, as you jumped out of bed,
You have to go, or else your dead:
Your face turn red, as you kiss me goodbye,
Was it something I'd done, or something was said?
For years I kept our dreams in my head.
He's waiting downstairs and pulling your cords,
We started well, at a loss for words...

About this poem:
I wrote this poem just now, feeling lost, confused...as my life always seems the same pattern with my love.We always started well, till her farther stepped in with demands and she was always eager to please him...one moment we in our own world, the next she has to return to the one where the need was to please him, at the risk of her own happiness without the will to stop her thoughts on letting our passion go...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S TO ALL

how sweet indeed to love who we love
who we promise forever and never lasts
whom we cherish and offer our hearts
for always, never to end, we never part

we commit, we hope, we join our hands
we set the depths in our hearts and minds
that we will not betray nor look around
and condition ourselves forever bound

but sometimes, life becomes too much
we do make mistakes and why not
we are but humans and always err
but we always attempt to do better

well my friends, my sisters and brothers
today is the day we have to remember
to make our love show, enjoy each other
for today is a sweet valentine's day

and so life goes for us all to share
this sweet memorial to lover's day
for love is a love that is so sweet
so let's be happy then and celebrate

HAPPY VALENTINE'S TO ALL OF US
SINGLE OR PERHAPS NOT
IF YOU ARE WITH SOMEONE ENJOY
AND EVEN IF YOU ARE ALONE
STILL ENJOY. l LOVE YOU ALL.
