Modern Love

Embedded image from another site

Texting and phone calls
internet chatting
fireworks and music
high definition television...

Your favorite pet
beautiful flowers you like
coffee and lunch
these ordinary things

Become extraordinary with you
things I like to talk about
with you,
I wish to talk about love

With you...

no title

first moon
with no tears in the cup
dry grass grows tangled in my heart
like the memory of loves name
a taste of sweet
on bitter lips

my hopes

brightened tomorrow
it lightened
the loads of my sorrow
at least for a while
yet seasons had passed
and as the falling rain
yet again washed my pains
and the seeds of hopes
planted in my heart
wilted in your forgetfulness.

Yet my hopes aren't really dead yet.

Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained (acrostic)

Nowhere in this universe can I find what I seek
Over and under, above or below, it matters not
Time and time again I have searched with all my heart
Hoping against all hope that this time is the time
I’ll find what I seek, heart to heart and soul to soul
Not just lust and desire, a callous one night stand
Gone come the cold light of the next day

“Verily I say onto you, the sinner shall suffer death
Eternity in Hell, separated from the love of God
Nowhere is there a place for you to hide from God’s wrath”
These words echo in my mind, the black robed preacher
Up there on the pulpit, preaching fire and brimstone
Right and wrong, is there such a thing when seeking love?
Every time I try to find love does it mean I am condemned?
Don’t know, the loneliness drives me more than the fear of Hell

Not another night shall pass where loneliness haunts me
Over and over I have promised myself this in the past
Then as the night progresses, I settle for second best
Hoping that at least this will stop the ache, ease the pain
It does for a while, a warm body, to be needed, but come morning
Nobody is there, silently slipped away in the midst of night
Gone like the will-o-the-wisp, and the heavy ache returns

Gone is hope and I am plunged into the depths of despair
And yet, in my rock bottom, I met him at a supermarket
Ian was his name, quiet, unassuming, an old fashioned gentleman
Not interested in one night stands, lifelong was his plan
Even now I question myself, could my luck have changed?
Dare I? Nothing ventured, nothing gained

jagged edged rock

resonating explosives
reflected on your rugged looks
a jagged edged rock
lacerating my wounds
raw as nerve bleeding
where it sealed among
seasons of seeking
woven in the dreams of
lasses, sweet yet coy
and of unknown
and untested origins
some dark, perhaps
lightened up
to suit your taste
and maybe natural blonde?
I have no chance
you won't turn around
and even if you do,
I will never be worth
your glance...

yet, allow me, your penetrating
piercing looks, just mesmerizing
even by the standards of the Irish Gods
And..even all the other Gods combined!
and I mean it
from the deepest of my heart.

I hope you will ever come to realize.

In Anticipation of Spring

Embedded image from another site

Within my heart there reigns
nothing but desire for you
to keep it to myself
is punishment self-inflicted...

The way you whisper
my name with such praise
with you it is different
my name is safe in your mouth
don't ever stop smiling
it will kill me
I will stop breathing...

You my love are Springtime bedecked
around you fount, flowers and plants
the smell of cottonwood and peaches
your hair hangs like Spanish Moss
what divine radiance
of sun in the fourth sphere
you at purple daybreak
the morning star brimful
none which can equal
your southern loveliness...

I desire your long black hair
to flow like a running brook
to hear your voice like a melody in the night
to awake next to you with winged heart
you my hearts desire
what relief of torment
I desire to become as one with you
our bodies eternally entwined
aimless in sexless foreplay...

The endless love

Call me a fool I am so in love

with you,how you moved me how you

filled me my void.

Never felt this way before you

and so know no one will replace you.

Days go by even years the quest to

carry on without you is unbearable

You were my morning sun, every day I raised with joy

in my heart we are each others

as pure as the love between love birds

seldom found in mankind the we had was as pure

as diamond rare and very hard to find.

Miss you my everything but my soul will endure

as you gave me the light to go through this world

I will love again thanks to you.

Selune

in tempest of her love the light will speaks
a river made of days becoming weeks
has fallen unto years upon these peeks
for her hair was silver luster
made from stars in cluster
and her voice will call the Gods to muster
the host of the waning moon

A World Apart

To the body it is but out of reach but to the mind and the soul it is but a thought away

For two people who share a bond where one lives in the night while the other lives in the day

You will be my angel of the night and I will be yours , because to me you live in my night and I live in yours, as we live on opposite sides of the world my dreams will be your reality

And our realities will meet on the horizon when both our worlds will collide

Painful Love

Love, my heart's desire,
How can I become?
My heart, how can I stop,
Once the fall has begun?
Passion, my will to fight,
My purpose is to give.
Patience, my path to victory,
Allowing Love to live.
Unreal, the expectations,
Honesty, Loyalty, Trust.
Love, my Guilty Pleasure,
The only Pain for which I Lust.
