what have I thought not yet resolved
as I swim in the ocean of your sorrows
what words is there haven't I said
as I bathe in the rivers of your pains
what acts are left haven't I labored
as I dance in the rains of your sufferings
what has my eyes haven't yet seen
as my tears drop in the cup of your silence
what rock there is I haven't turned
so I find the gate back to your heart
and that I wouldn't get dislodged?
what tune is there I haven't sang
that will bring the sunshine back
and light the ground I stand on?
oh I know, it's not the time
but when it comes, and
there's no more tears to shed
there's no more air to breath
and my heart beats its last...

In a deserted place void of love I came to ground
Filled with doubt I wandered around

I had been here before such desolate waste
For how long? Must I remain fallen from grace
Forsaken to walk alone in my path
Unimaginable longing for another to hear my heart
My language long forgotten ancient and bold
Destined to sing and heal their souls.

The path drew me to this beautiful tree
All my senses warning me
I know to stay here would be wrong
The tree inviting sturdy and strong
delirium lulling me to restless sleep

My dreams more magical than ever before
Wanton desire for the fruit it bore
As I dreamed the fruit became a man
Overwhelming need to take his hand
The wind blew strong warning me not to progress
How is my heart to resist his caress
Wishing I could stop and freeze time
Drunk with love for a man who can not be mine

Whatever his reasons for drawing me into this place
The warnings ignored the moment his hands touched my face
I knew I was captured and under his spell
Dreaming under a tree where I dwell
