Mirror - Mirror

Mirror - Mirror what do you see
Other than a reflection of me
Do you see all of my sorrows
Or the future of all my tomorrows

The sadness that lurks behind the eyes
The happenings that have made me wise
Lost loves that pains to remember
Or new loves lighting my eyes with ember

Wishful thinking of a permanent love
With hopes of help from above
Lines worn deep from age
Each one telling its tale of sage

Do you see the ravages of starkness
Caused by exposure to others darkness
Hoping for more light to shine through
And that special love meant for two

Can I Paint You With Words?

Embedded image from another site

The artist ready with his palette,
Shall catch a moment In your life.
You shall be there upon the canvas,
Immortalized forever.
In your glory you shall stand,
On canvas proudly displayed,
An auburn haired beauty,
So the title It will say.
Such Immortality I cannot give you,
I have but my simple words,
To you my Love I do devote them,
Though they may never Immortalize.
You stand before me natures' daughter.
Your flesh Is divine perfection,
Your body being Love's own temple,
There you stand my earthly Angel.
Living auburn hair dances down,
Around your shoulders such gossamer touch.
My beloved turn now.
Let my words see that which saw no paint,
The soft brown eyes two priceless jewels,
To look within Is to be lost In Loves' Domain.
A wondrous smile that lights up your face,
You become the living sun of my life.
Breasts point forth calling for Loves' own hand,
Your temple shines ready for loves' embrace.
Nature's shadow awaits the time to come.
Blush not my beloved,
These words tell not the glory that Is you,
The true glory lies within,
Where your true divinity lies,
Where the woman that you are does dwell,
The true woman.
The artist does win with his canvas,
Your beauty he captures forever.
I am but a child of words,
These words die at the end of my pen,
I think I can paint you with words,
No, I know this can never be.
No one can paint a true Angel,
The artist gets closer to the truth,
We can always look upon your canvas,
An auburn haired beauty.
In truth You alone know the answer,
“Can I paint you with words?”

I'll see you Again

i'll see you again,

a moment of chance,
i spied you at a glance,
through passing rows
and sunbeam glows

a heartbeat a miss.
at a thought of a kiss
a breath not taken
and a love not faking

this minute becomes a second
the heart starts to beckon
a twist and a turn
our hearts start to burn

we are strangers on a street
not destined to meet
passing each other by
catching glimpses of an eye

ill see you again
my heart counts till then

FOOL FOR LOVE

Every minute a fool is born
Common sense they have to mourn.
Many of us are fools for love.
But is this bad? Well kind of.
Not thinking just rushing in.
But come on is that a sin?
We may make a foolish mistake
And get too close to a snake.
Once bitten twice shy
An expression I don’t buy,
Because like the fool that I am
I jump from the fire into the flying pan.

Nothing Much

I haven’t asked for love, you know it’s truth,
And never have I done so much as soul to bare.
It was so obvious from start my love was doomed,
But it's so comforting - the selflessness of care.
For once again when I see you pass by
Engaged in talk with lady, smiling thus,
I wish I were that lady just for once
To hold that tender look and stare in kind.
There’s nothing to be done, I’ll stand aside,
I’ll never bother you by showing painful heart.
And then the memory of you will slowly die,
To be replaced, who knows, with better chance?!
Oh, unrequited love has got no real bite,
It’s heart that hurts, but then who cares for heart?!

LOVE

Love inexplicably strikes without warning
like lightning from ominous sky
Just as quickly leave one mourning
without a goodbye or reason why

Most joy stems from being in love
euphoria higher than heavens above
It's life shattering losing your mate
pain only broken hearts generate

Loves become arduous to maintain
like birds fighting gale force rain
Impedes seeing what cheaters disguise
reason many are repeatedly victimized

Initially believing love last forever
now married rarely remain together
Love has forever symbolized unfair
unfortunate for humans I declare

With You In My Life

There's joy everywhere
when your voice I seek
you're always near
the simplest joke with
your most loving look
shows a happy heart
glad I didn't overlook!

There's peace everywhere
When I look for you
you are always there
the simplest words
you have declared
shows just how much
you really care!

There's love everywhere
when I reach for you
you come running through
the lightest touch
the warmest kiss
shows depth and faith
such bliss!

The Power Of Love

Love is one of life's greatest mysteries
It is the driving force
which shapes man's destiny
It is the very foundation
upon which life itself is built

Love leads
life follows
Love is a way of life
One cannot detach oneself from Love
to make a decision
for Love is life itself

Throughout the ages
the power of Love
has gripped the hearts of men
- mighty men who feared nothing
and made them powerless
to resist its spell

Kingdoms rose and fell
Armies laid others waste
and were laid waste by others
Men died in agony
at the command of a Love-infected leader
Paris and Helen of Troy
in the Trojan War
Samson and Delilah
in the battles with the Philistines
Anthony and Cleopatra
in the Roman Civil War

Love is a potent force
that sometimes makes fools
of earth's mighty men of valour
And yet this same Love
has been an instrument of good
with which nothing can compare

There are many kinds of Love -
a man for his God
a man for his woman
a friend for his friend
a person for his kin
a man for his dog
- these and many more

Though the particular cases differ
the effect of Love is the same
- that feeling which inspires and drives men
to achieve things
they once believed impossible

Many a knight fought great odds
and won for his lady
Many a man leaves his comfortable niche
in society
and goes out to endure
the hardship and pain
of the less fortunate
as he gives of himself unselfishly
to improve their state
because of his love for
His God, duty and ideals

History is filled with leaders
who tried to build
and maintain an empire
with the might of brute force
and failed -
Charlemagne
Alexander The Great
Julius Caesar
Napoleon Bonaparte
Adolph Hitler

And yet
a humble carpenter of Nazareth
who shunned brute force
and violence
built an empire on Love
two thousand years ago
and today it covers
the face of the earth

Dance Of Love ----villanelle

They swayed together in the dance of love
strangers that were captured by a hot glance
watched with joyfulness by a white dove

Hand in hand they strolled around the cove
promised that they would return to this place
they swayed together in the dance of love

walking through the glen filled with foxglove
then tenderly he led her to his place
watched with joyfulness by a white dove

They stood talking, air full of scent of clove
the room was lit by candles and fireplace
they swayed together in the dance of love

Time passed soon they moved to the staircase
he helped her climb up to the bed space
watched with joyfulness by a white dove

They were married in a white olive grove
spending their honeymoon at his birthplace
they swayed together in the dance of love
watched with joyfulness by a white dove

FLAME OLD

FLAME OLD

I cannot Fathom
How some come to CROWN
Like One be a KING
And another be a QUEEN

Yet Once disapointment sets in or QUEEN
A Peasant and expect to own a SLAVE

It is all in their Head
All in their Perception of Vanity SELF
All in the Flick of MOOD
Of Self Centered Sensual FOOD

Why is it that all Senses Within
Are Disrespected and Self Inflicted Plight
While I always sit back and Sense
Within Integrated Wings of Flight

'Til I am Faced

With The Crowning of such Myself
A Fleeting Moment Temptress Prevails
A Micro Second of Crowning takes Place
Those that have done so the Act of This
I saw and Knew

Yet
I Crowned Thee Simultaneously as I Let go
And Watched the Bird Me and Window as I Flew
And Returned To Love U from Flame Old
That I knew ...
