Purest love

To bare ones inner thoughts
Share fears from the heart
Total communication
Connection with another soul
Through heart and mind
Having a sense of their warmth
Only by staring upon their picture
Purest love, half shared

One day these strangers may meet
Upon unknown shores
Allowing their souls to join
In physical for
Through mind, body and soul
Purest love shall be born

Whilst time will go by
Each wanting it to stand still
Knowing their time together
Will be gone all to soon
Wanting it to last for eternity
Trying to make each second count
Whilst hearts breaking
Time is running out
Purest love, passing them by

Time has gone
As they say fair well
Embracing one last time
Till who knows when
Have these two strangers
Broken their own hearts
Knowing more
What they shall miss
Purest love, has left their side

Back to their life
That they once knew
Feeling of coldness
Sense of emptiness
With in their hearts
What once was a wonderful life
Feels empty, incomplete
These two strangers both long
For what they now miss
Purest love, that lies worlds apart

Each day has become
The same as the next
But the yearning
For that touch
It's sadly missed
Longing to meld
Their life into one
Only to feel complete
Within their own
Mind, body and soul
Purest love, till they meet again

dreams

dreaming of you
is not much easier for me
you know?
like at night when I swim alone
in the ocean of my pain?
when my body shivers
feeling your breathing?
I stood up
headed to the kitchen-
struggled to find your ice cream!
I am concerned
I might go, drive in the rain
so I can please you
and then make love again?
and just as when
in a heartbeat you held my hand
your looks caressing my eyes
and as you bent down
to kiss my craving lips
the rising sun
beamed and woke me up

I am your prisoner,
that even in my sleep
you give me no room to rest
I can't stop thinking of you

what about you?
do you ever dream of me, too??

The Shroud

Embedded image from another site

O my Lord I try and understand
as I gaze upon your shroud
where you became a being of light
ascending to heaven upon a cloud...

I see bloodstained image of crucified man
who wore crown on thorns upon His head
a face of such peaceful slumber
every pain you suffered can be read..

O my Lord much like you
love has left me crucified
I wear my own crown of thorns
I search for love and have been denied..

I see the face of death's giving
true I have loved and lost
send me a woman among the living
my arms around her spread like a cross..

Lead me out of this garden tomb
alone in my bed of impregnated linen
praying for love and my sins forgiven
and a love to be forever shrouded in Turin..

waiting

Strong yet scattered
Deep in silence, a rare moment
You in a daze of the horizon
Nothingness abound
Would've been that you feel?
Me looking? Around?
Yet
Heart is never subdued
As it knows not what it wants
Nor would it settle alone
With just one
Why for
There's of us, countless
By the thousands
Who'd hesitant nay
To climb aboard your wagon
Could've have held you tight
And bury you deep in my heart
But your free spirit unbound
Reaching the farthest star
Among the unknown
In a horizon
Where I can never belong

Still I will always love you
And waiting
Deep within my soul
Hoping
One day you will know
I have always been inside of you.

Snowed in the south

Embedded image from another site

A rare snow day
here in the deep south
we are snowed in
inside looking out
but that's okay
if I'm snowed in with you
it could be a dream come true...

Let's pick out a movie
pop some corn
play whatever game you wish
maybe put on our heavy coats
go outside and build a snow man
with you in this cold white snow
no where else for us to go...

We'll come back inside
make some hot chocolate
have you cuddle next to me
so warm and so close
snuggling on my living room couch
on this day of rare frigid weather
I love this time we have together...

This snowed in day in late January
deep inside my heart and mind
I am snowed in with you
from daybreak to sunset
so lovely
so sweet
so much in love!

he

he loves me in the morning
and wont let go
but holds me back with all my sorrow
he leaves me in the evening
and will only return the morrow
does he love or only need to leave me

PAIN

All these years I've cried of pain,
A thousand tears all in vain.
My heart it seeks love at last,
To wipe away the pain of the past.

your rugged soulful face

Your rugged and soulful face
Captivated my broken heart
I see it in the wilderness
Among the pastures and the rocks
Yet for now meeting my eyes.

I decipher the silhouette
While sitting in the dark
Your thoughts I decoded
And your heartbeat I felt
As you were gazing at the stars.

Even after you hid it
So blank and I can't see
It left a potent mark
On my imagination
Darker, stronger than reality.

Goodbyes are sad and easy exit
Farewell I might expect
Yet hoping you won't forget
That rugged intriguing face
Will dwell forever in my heart.

Forever as forever is.

Stray Cat

Embedded image from another site

I hear scratching at my door
seeing whiskers set afire
the indigo night calling
her fur erect with desire...

She is my stray cat
making her nightly prowl
If I pet her the right way
she will surely purr and howl..

Baby put on your tiger skin
and if you so prefer
we can commit your secret sin
stretched upon my bed of fur...

Darling I have catnip for you
make you scratch and scream till dawn
leave your claw marks on my back
long after the full moon is gone..

The Earring

Embedded image from another site

A hidden treasure
shiny and gold
underneath my pillow
almost a perfect circle
once hanging
from a lovely earlobe
on the gypsy lover
that came and went with the moon.

The wind has brought me
her name this morning
I recall the blue and gold scarf
that draped her shoulders
apple-blossom cheeks
bright red lips slightly apart
affection waiting to love
my gypsy lover with golden earring..

This symbol of such beauty
when the light bathed them
they had a sort of twinkle
elegance and grace
adding to her loveliness
mimicking in a strange way
this piece of her left behind

Perhaps she will return to retrieve it
my heart awaits!
