Waiting

Darkness...

You are not here.

Candle flame...
Reminder of you.

The mind looks for answers
Which not come.
Questions are digging
The soul
While dilemmas
Are growing the fog.

Memories, past, present,
Become fluid.
Intelligence.
It turns into nothing.

Looking the light.
Trying rescue inside.
I want to be strong
While crying with tears

of wax.

Weihnacht in Berlin

Mein Gott! Soviel Lustigkeit und soviel Schnee!
Weihnacht in Berlin! Ein unendliches Maerchen
und ich habe geglaubt, das Du mir ein Zeichen gibst:
fuer Liebe, Hoffnung, Glaube an dein Paradies.

Mein Herz ist dort bei Dir, Berlin geblieben,
und das Schmerz nach Dir geblieben - untroestlih.
unter Millionen - wie verlorener Sohn
ich laufe fort und komme wieder jeden Winter.

The rain keeps falling

Dreary days
Staring out the window
Watching time flow past

Like an endless chain
Gray skies stretch out
Tumbling and twirling
Spinning and Twisting

When did they begin?
Who knows when they will end

And the rain keeps falling

Sleepless nights
Droplets pattering upon leaves
Restless murmur
The wind keep whispering

Surely there's more
to life than this

And the rain keeps falling

Kickit's Challenge.. That Ole Dodge Dart...

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence
Memories sauntered slowly, and then they sped,
As thoughts of you,
Circled round and round in my head..
The essence of you..
So near yet so far..
And always with you,
It was about that old car..

My thoughts returned to 1979,
An old 69 dodge dart..
Was it black?
or was it blue?
But in your eyes..
Always shinging and new.

You washed it, you polished it,
So proudly you did display,
To anyone who stopped to comment,
To anyone who stopped to say..

How beautiful is your baby,
And man she's a star..
Oh how I wished back then,
I was as beautiful to you,
as your car.

A Journey - Kickit's Challenge

A thousand steps
Walking a crooked fence
A journey back in time
Was so young, can't believe
So much older now

A thousand steps
Walking a crooked fence
She was so young and pretty
Said our vows in a country church
Our love will last forever

A thousand steps
Walking a crooked fence
Older grew and children had
Apart we slowly drifted
Living life is what happened to us

A thousand steps
Walking a crooked fence
Now all I feel is sorrow
Looking back I see mistakes
Too late for any changes

A thousand steps
Walking a crooked fence
The future ahead stretches
Weary I am of this life
There's a thousand more steps to end it

Isolation

What can a solitary rock do
Against the flow of the mighty river?
How hard it fights to stay strong
To not lose its natural self.
But the current slowly wears it out
Crumbling it, til it’s nothing more than sand.
With rushing waters all around it,
It wonders, are there any others?
Do they resist as hard as I do?
Or do they give up and let themselves go
Tumbling to wherever the flow takes them?

I don’t want to lose my spirited self, so
I have been resisting here forever it seems
I can’t fight it no more and down I go,
But no matter how far I let myself go,
I will never be like the flowing waters.
All the tumbling only chips at me
Bruised and sore I take new hold.
It takes all my strength to be myself.
Why didn’t I see no one else like me?
I wonder it is me the only one?

For how long will I fight this time?
Will I ever find others that resist the flow?
Or is meant for me to always be alone?
With my essence being washed away
I let myself be carried once again
Damned by my differences for eternity,
In a world that is not my own or ever will
My curse...
A life, where I will never belong.

About this poem:
I often feel like I don't belong, specially in city life where I am forced to live. I long for the countryside and the calm life it offers. Iris

THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS ...

SOMETIMES I SIT AND PONDER
'BOUT MOST THINGS IN MY LIFE
LIKE GROWING UP ...AND CHILDREN
A HAPPY HOME ..A WIFE
THEN... JOY..AT LAST IT HAPPENS
EACH DAY SHARED IS BLISS
EACH MORNING UPON WAKENING
IS STARTED WITH A KISS

AS TIME MOVES ON WE WONDER
WHERE....IF IT EVER ENDS
DEEP DOWN INSIDE WE HOPE NOT
BUT THEN IT JUST DEPENDS
ON WHAT OUR DESTINY UNFOLDS
WHATEVER'S MEANT TO BE
OF WHERE OUR JOURNEY TAKES US
LIFE'S PLANS FOR YOU OR ME

A THOUGHT BEFORE WE THINK IT
IDEA YET TO PERCEIVE
IS SET FOR US BY GOD HIMSELF
THAT'S WHAT I BELIEVE
SO AS EACH NEW DAY PASSES
AND NEW THOUGHTS FILL MY MIND
I WISH THAT YOU COULD SHARE WITH ME
A JOY FOR ALL MANKIND

NO TEARS ..NO PAIN ..BUT LAUGHTER
MEET AND LOVE AND LEARN
SHARE A LIFE OF RAPTURE
IS THAT NOT WHAT WE YEARN
BE HAPPY ... BE CONTENTED
WALK HAND IN HAND AND ON
UNTIL THAT LAST GREAT MEETING
IN A PLACE SO FAR BEYOND

belly dance challenge

brunette hair intoxicates
Sexy eyes she dances for him
her gourges curves dance

She girates her heavenly curves
Intoxicating her heavenly charms she performs
Her intoxicating charm
Her belly dance

Under her spell in the moment
She rolls her hips sways her txts
He gazes as she dances for him

silky soft skin intoxicating amour
For she the dancer captivates him

BELLY DANCE CHALLENGE

AS FEET OF A PANTHER
SHE GRACES THE WOODEN STAGE
WITH FIRE LIGHT AGLOW
HER LONG CELESTIAL LEGS DO PEEK
FROM UNDERNEATH
SCARLET SILK TURKISH DRESS
HER BLACK RAVEN HAIR ALL WILD
EYES OF SPARKLING DIAMONDS
SHE DOETH TEMPT
SHE MOVES WITH A SOFT SEDUCTION
SWAYING TO THE BEAT
VOLUMPTOUS HIPS BEGIN TO
ROLL LIKE UNTAMED LOVERS
DELICATE ARMS MOVING
BELLY ASHINE WITH FIERY LATHER
SHE STEPS TO EACH BEAT
LIKE A TEMPEST OF STORM
FIERY FRENZY
SIDE TO SIDE
THE GATHERING CAUGHT UP
FOR HER MOVES BEWITCHING
EACH MAN ALIKE
AS SHE SLOWS
WOLVES DO HOWL
A SINGLE CRIMSON ROSE
FALLS TO HER FEET..

Once~

We are the many the broken hearted and the lost. We enter our thoughts on these bios like tender flowers. Will we meet someone who will fulfill the empty spaces? Are we expecting too much from ourselves and who ever reaches out to answer our quest? The days of white knights and dainty madiens trapped in high bell towers are over. Its a myth too often told and yet many times believed. We need to take our masks off and feel the air of honesty and acceptance. It would be a silly sweet world if it were that simple!
