5-7-5 Challenge - Remembering

Arms in cold embrace
Salty tears warm down my face
A smile in my heart

Rock On!

Arms that hold me close nestling safely

Sunshine pouring strength into my bones

All gathered, it is time for the bell to ring

Progressing seems quicker than telephone

Reaching out to touch you but you are gone

Flowers essence that seems to linger on

Rain drops wash away all my cares today

As I trace the lines, the etching of life

Rocking chair holding dreams of once was there

Days and nights go on, no longer matter

Smile upon the lips and eyes glazed over

Is it dementia or mad hatter

Life has taken my youth it is now gone

My memories are mine leave them alone

My Soul (Paloma Challenge)

My soul seeks its final destination
Is ataraxia so far beyond my vision?
This journey has taken me so long
Psiturism, I sit and await your song
I look upon the clouds of Nacreous pearl
Is my destiny so linked to Cosmogyral?
Do the storms of nature rule my future?
Aeolian! Aeolian!
Let your soothing breath sooth my suture

How long can I live in reminiscence
Am I not to find that eternal bliss?
I know I have scorned to be reverent
But are not my passions so less fervent
Yet the tenuous threads that bind my sin
Seem to me to remain ever gossamer thin

home town long lost forgoten

well many years ago as this poem is crossed story line,
their was a boy whom played in an old mine shaft,
30 years later his children explore he same shaft as he once adored,
they look within it`s deep deep gauge and wonder should we go or stay above,
they enter it scared as shit to notice their daddys playground was shit,
but yet daddy returned to show them is life shit or do we play and follow suit,
they follow suit and enter within to see such crystals still in its depths,
it goes to show the young like old ejoy the past like present internet doth show,
my old home i once forget is now buried within my childrens heads ,
the past they say is lost again has found a way to be remembered again,
our minds can learn no mater how they forget as long as tims are memorizeed happy again.

Yesterday Young

It's been a long journey over yonder mountain
No going back to yesterday young
In memories I drink from a sweet fountain
But there's no going back to yesterday young

Sun never seems to age
Neither wind nor rain
But every day turns a page
And older my name

I want to take a stroll
But life wants to run
Once upon a time I was never slow
But there's no going back to yesterday young

I sit on a bridge and see a gentle stream
Reached for a star but could only share a gentle dream
And so I know now what I didn't know then
Sure as tomorrow comes there's no going back to yesterday young

To shine and polish

On the mantle place
With pride of place
You polish and clean
You wind up

Your daily routine
You make sure
You clean it so well
Shines and polishes well

Its face so clean and body
Shines your image seen
Like a mirror
Your face can be seen

Its you rs to polish
Handed down like treasure
From generation to generation
From mother to daughter father to son

You look after it with care
You watch over
You view it daily
You look after it

For you know it yours forever and ever

Memories

The heap of blankets on our bed
The crisp shirts hanging on the door
Your tools on the kitchen table
The smell of your toothpaste
Memories
Good memories
Touches of you that stay in our home
And keep me close
Whenever you are gone

Rush or Crush... (in a maddening world)

Rush is the word
Brush aside left or right
Rush is next to you, all the time
All in a moment work is done ...rush rush rush!

Crush is the word
Touch a moment feel the emotion
Crush is what you feel, all the time
All in a moment everything is lost ...crush crush crush!

Rush or crush it is the same
Brush or touch a moment and feel the same
Muddled would you feel, all the time
All is gone in a moment, rush, crush, rush, crush!

Once Upon a time

Hot, muggy, sticky night,
Ice chips scraping glass, limeade
Added lemon, splash!
Lemon lime scent.
Lips pucker,
Wraparound porch, rocking chair.
Lilting voice "Amazing Grace"
frogs hopping, rebit rebit

DEAR MR ORBISON

YOU THRILLED US WITH YOUR STUNNING VOICE! YOU ARE, AND ALWAYS WILL BE, MY FAVORITE MALE ARTIST OF CHOICE! I TALK TO YOU IN DREAMS, AND YOU EXPLAIN THE WAYS AND MEANS! BECAUSE OF YOU, I'M NOT CRYING ANYMORE! I LIVE EACH DAY, KNOWING GREAT THINGS ARE IN STORE! AND ONE DAY, WHEN ALL OF MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE; I SHALL RETURN TO THAT WONDERFUL; BLUE BAYOU!
