Why Can't Time Just Slow Down A Mite

Fries and gravy,vanilla Coke
a jukebox waiting for a poke
E8 filled the Maltshop
with Frankie Avalon
Poodle skirts and saddle shoes
Where have those fun days gone?

Jiving by the counter
hems down below the knees
Kids that used their manners
always saying ..Please !!
Young lovers holding hands at night
while strolling in a park.
Safe to walk the streets alone
after it was dark.

Times change, but not always for the better

skinny thing

I want to fall in naked trees
I want let they catch me
They can not

Eating is something immoral beautiful
I want it like effervescent mind blows
I can not

Fume and vapour like gentle breeze
Nakedness it takes every breathe
Silently stroke me again

Mad Woman

By the looks of your jumbled sticky hair
Those deep dark eyes that breaks no stare
One can never tell your mystifying story
Of how you reached this point of wry glory..

You sit in one corner, talking to yourself
Lost in discussion about all your beliefs
Fiddling your fingers as if counting the days
It seems to me you are in a haze..

Smiling and laughing at nothing in particular
Then I heard you say, ‘you’re such a fine star’
I searched your cell to see who it was
But all I see were just dirty dolls piled up in a mess

Finding a little of you in me was a shock
It clarifies what I have and what I lack
Tagged as the ‘mad woman’ you are
Little did I know, I need not go that far..

Gateway to Dreams

Dazed and confused I stand in the front without a clue,
Even as everyone around is taking their leaps as if they flew.
Placing themselves into their dream situation while I stare,
Since it seems that what I enjoy most has no fruit to bare.
My heart in pain as my eyes water while the rest step through,
Unable to take the next step since I find nowhere to step to.
Looking around as everyone finds themselves with a goal on their path,
Yet for me it seems I'm adding things wrong in life's math

Through The Mirror’s Eye

As I watched myself carefully
Analyzing the details of my body
A flash of memory struck
Neither did I know what to feel nor how to react

I never gave you the wrong impression
Always been honest to you about my passion
I told you from the very beginning
That I was looking for something never ending

But, oh you, thought that was a joke
My dear, never thought of you to be that bloke
That one that thinks everything’s a game
Is that all you want, fun and fame?

Before your mouth opens and judge me bad
Please remember that you’re no special lad
I may be not the devil’s advocate
Shh, but listen to what I’ll have to implicate

Don’t pretend to know and forget
Or you’ll be sorry but it’ll be too late to regret
For sure I’m no saint
Close to that? Heck no, I ain’t!

This mirror will tell who I am
What I’ve been, where I’m from
The truth, this mirror, will not bend
For it will show who the sinner is in the end.

~Shades of Gray ~

Please don't let them poison you.
cheat and lie and make a crook of you..
Don't sell your soul..
Hold out for what you know, and what you believe..
There are children in your future and
cats and dogs and everything...

But right now you're throwing it all away..
for a wreckless game of russian roullete..
This is not the world you would have chosen
But sometimes you have to bite the bullet
And just suck it up and stay
Sometimes you have to cash in your chips
And let the cards fall where they may,,,

Don't let them lead you where you arent prepared to go..
You used to make up your own rules you used to steal the show..
There is nothing, you ever wanted that you could not attain..
You held the world in the palm of your hands and you can again..

Toss away your licence to kill..
you'll be killing everything..
You ever wanted.. portrayed and flaunted
Nothing left to win, nothing left to gain..

But disease and decay
Oh you'll come back again,.
sink and fall again..
but you are going
to be ok..

For as the sky turns dark and cloudy,
A bitter shade of grey...
Sunlight filters through blackened skies,
And takes the pain away..

And the rain comes down, and it cleanses everything..
And in the new day,
when it dawns on you,
gives you reason to stay..

And it will shake you up, and wake you up..
Melt all your fears away..

And you're gonna be ok..
Yeh you're gonna be ok,,
Just hang in there one more day..
One more day..
Banish clouds of grey.

Dawn to Death

Another morning, sweet coolness
Filaments of gold rising
The crispness of an early dawn
gives way to warmth
amid the rising mists
and day breaks.
And I sit here atop this rise
on the earth's surface
and I think of you.
I remember the crispness of our new love
and the way it warmed both our hearts
and cleared away the mists of pain
and awoke a vibrant whole connection
the birth of love
a bright new day.
The sounds of day awakening
Rise to meet my ears
birds sing,
the heat rises
and the air is hot
the day wears on.
Then the busyness of life begins
amid the rushing
oblivious to others
taking them for granted
we miss the signs
that bring us
all undone
and as our love grows,
then wanes, a habit
of daily chores
unnoticed by the other
Day fades into evening
again the coolness
returns and beckons night
I sit, still,
now in the cold
And do not notice
the fading of our love
that once rose bright
in our hearts
Night falls
day dies
And our love
disappears
into the darkness
forever lost
like the day
just gone
and I forget
to think
of you.

For

For the words that never say
For the time that you missed it
For the moment that I wanna go back

For forgivness before you say sorry
For forever time I had been waiting
For the memories that you can only remember

and for the word "I love you"
is for you

Undefined

I normally don’t confuse myself easily
It’s been quite a while, I’m done with the crazy
But there’s a sudden turn of events lately
Not sure how this lullaby can play in my reality..

I can’t praise what I don’t understand
Caught deadlock trying to figure where I stand
Should I give in or keep safe on land?
This thought my mind has beckoned..

I know how to play a good game
Things started a bit insane, it’s lame
Wild side evokes, yet I remain tamed
However, I feel the need to start the flame..

Now I seem to not know a thing
I awake exhausted with thoughts reeling
This cryptic musical is foretelling
It’s up to me to start or keep waiting..

How Times Have Changed

How times have changed, as I remember
As a boy I would be fascinated for hours
Playing records on the old wind up gramophone
And twiddling the knobs of my Grandfather's
Radio receiver, with it's large valves glowing
And giving out hums and squeals as I turned
The dial backwards and forwards.

As a teenager, I grew up watching television
And listening to my stereogram, playing all the
Latest songs of the time.
In my adult years, I would watch images from
The new colour television and quadraphonics
Stereo, which was the latest thing around.

I am now middle age, with all this behind me
As technology has changed, with computers,
Video machines and compact disk players;
How I preferred the earlier times, where life
Was a lot more simpler place to be.
