What is it that you’re searching for?
Is it love?
Is it money?
Maybe fame?
Is it what you can buy or where you can live that gives meaning to the game?
Is it the clothes you can wear or the cars that you drive that bring pleasure to the ride?
Is it the friends that you’re with or where you can go that fills the void inside?
What is it that you’re searching for?
Is it that soft and cozy chair?
The one that makes you feel so good,
Whenever you’re curled up there.
Is it that prominent job, or executive title, that makes the difference for you?
Is it the thought of people listening, when you tell them what to do?
What is it that you’re searching for?
Is it your soul mate?
Good health?
A friend?
If by chance you had these things, would it matter in the end?
What is it that you’re searching for?
What are you trying to find?
If someone had the answer,
Would it somehow ease your mind?
Do you really want to know?
I’ll reveal it if you do,
The answer’s very simple,
But it’s also simply true,
The answer lies in none of these,
But you’ll search these nonetheless,
In pursuit of that elusive thing,
The thing called “Happiness”

“I do not think there are gods,
To whom we make our solemn prostrations”.
This I said, years ago.
Under an angry afternoon.
While the hot sun gazed
down at me indifferent.
I thought about Alokoko,
Of whom our culture speaks;
Sango, Amadioha,Aloshiaraen,
Said to be made by mere craftsmen.
I wondered,
If Ogun has a heart,
Then it is iron.
And Olokun,
A brain made of pounded yam.
And If Alokoko has blood,
Then it is palm oil.
But I still pondered,
If there are no gods,
Who cries while there are flames?
Talks in the rushing of waters,
Whispers in the wind and
Who carries man into the land of the dead?
Still in profound thoughts,
Echoes of black history,
Struck my naked heart,
Resounding these words,
“The Elephant that tries to climb
The paw-paw tree,
Has been drinking too much palm wine”.

About this poem:
I find it hard to agree with westerners and their religions that chide Africa that the God we worship is a God with a small letter 'g'.

Fly,fly high oh earthen angel
Fly,fly high to heaven above
Take me on the ride up in the sky.
And with our fantasy we shall soar,
and in cloud nine we shall hide.
And together in the morning sun
with hug and kisses we shall smile.
And with celestial love we shall
embrace.Our auras fused in holy
magic for all eternity,and our
wings on fire.

In the distance
In the distance I see here
Inthe distance I see her look
She looks
She smiles
She sees me in the distance
She will not approch
She is hurt
Here love can bring only pain
In her mind she is not worthy
No love
No gentle words have ever bean said to her
She is empty
Abused
Abandoned
Longing only for love
A freind
A partner
In the distance she looks at me
In the distance she sees my love
In the distance I am there
She knows I am the one
Inthe distance I stand knowing her pain
In the distance I am her one
Standing
Waiting
Looking in to her sole
Knowing her love
Come to me my love and close the distance
In the distance I await you
In the distance you are the one and I will not hurt you
In the distance is our future
In the distance is our love
In the distance
In the distance to her I right
In the distance to my love where are you

Along a path with out light is sure to bring pain as a bird with out flight
Tell the trail is lit, all are blind and with out sight
When the sons beems light my way
O so bright
That I have sight
And the hazards be not hidden
Not hidden from my sight
So I will be safe
Not as a bird a bird with out flight
You are my might
My light
You give me flight now that I have sight
O lord my day be not night

The eyes have there luster
There shine there truth
They never lie
That can never forget
They are our truth
Our morels and our hope
Thay let us are the sky
A baby for the first time
Worn is of danger
Tell us where to hide
Thay put sympathy in the hart of the strong
They lift up the week
Why would a person not have sight when we all hav eyes
Becas thay lost there harts and put on the night
We are better in the sons light don't forget
We all have eyes of love and light
Come out of the night
So we can see other when they are in the night
The eyes have luster
To worm our harts and to give us life
There your eyes and your sight
Wash off the clay and get the blessing of sight
Come out of the night

Searching for a messiah
But not even one can be found
The holy man is a fake and a liar
So burn the churches to the ground
Many faiths but just one lie
So Infidels unite
There is no great man in the sky
Just a burning light
Religion equals war
As the history books will tell
Religion equals law
As they march us off to jail
I find it impossible to believe
That a god created man
There was no Adam, there was no Eve
And no great master plan
For man created every god
To give our conscience peace
When we leave this earth we’ve trod
Our fears will surely cease
So when you see a man of the cloth
Don’t think of him as kind
For even though his eyes are soft
He’s sure to rob you blind

About this poem:
This is not meant to offend anyone regarding their beliefs and faiths but my way of critisizing the so-called leaders of our churches and the way they use and abuse the powers bestowed onto them by innocent people. Also how they re-write history to suit their church.

Dear St Nicolas
You are the protector
Of the all kids'
Be the protector of all people
And bring us peace in our souls
Love and peace in this world.
We are all your kids no matter age
Be with us and pray for our souls .

Why the look?
Are you forlorn?
Is your heart empty?
Is your mind racing?
You may be mentaly ill!
Or are you just a nudge.
Come on people!
Where's the Love equasion
In all of this fracture?
When you look for Love
Look up not across.
First up! Then across.
Lord knows we can all use a little polishing.
If you look up
You will find Perfect Love.
When you look across
You will find human love.
Perfection never fails
Humans do. It's our nature.
Look to your Creator
And buddy-up in Him.
Once you can accept
That Perfect Love
Love's you Perfectly,
Then look outside yourself.
Buddy-up with a friend
Share some of that Perfect Love
That your Creator put in your heart.
Soulmates is a human invention.
Lovemates is a Perfect Gift
"Love one another as I Loved you"
If we were not capable of Perfect Love
Then why would He have said this to us?
Love a Perfect Gift
Humans do! It's our nature.
Look to your Creator
And buddy-up to Him.
Once you can accept

About this poem:
I wrote this poem because I to would look outside myself looking for that Perfect love to love me and for me to love. One day I discovered that If I invested emotionaly and spiritually in God that all would fall into place. And it did. I'm still a work in progress but life is so much better knowing that God wants the very best for me and I trust Him to do just that.
