A Place for worries

Cast all your cares
give Him your worries
He has the shoulders
to bear them away

Who can you find
who always would do this,
day after day
until time is no more?

When we find no one to listen
about all our troubles
it has often been said-

Look unto God
and first seek to know Him,
then as His child
this privilege own.

Jesus

I was stuck.
He lifted my head up.

I saw the sun,
on the field I run.

The life returned,
into the soul of the hurt.

He recognised me,
and I felt self-esteem.

I was loved,
and the stars up far,
shone on me bright,
life was worth the fight.

Jesus, my love, my King.
You mean to me everything.
Now I laugh, dance and sing,
and there is nothing,
stopping.

Drops in the fall

We’re paper mache people whose balloons have burst unnoticed
Laughing though we’re all unsure exactly what the joke is
A costume party where the guests forget where they begin
Becoming clones of cliches from the ads whose themes we sing
The tailors to the Emperor finally fell for their own tale
Although the sea inside us all is where these fantasies set sail
Pieces on the board moved by a hand not known as theirs
A knowing thats so vast though lost as soon as one compares
Drops suspended midway as we plunge towards the void
Out of which all things come forth, neither created nor destroyed

Invitation

Faith is the hand
that leads you,
to a place
where truth is

Truth has beauty
truth has answers
no deception
are found in her

Love embraces
find those traces
lead us to God
by faith our
eyes will see.

Home Is Where God Is

Take us to a place, where envy ceases to be green,
and tears of joy upon a face, blue no longer from pain it's seen.
Where bruising hearts of purple never happens,
grey the strength of stone that never dies,
and the colour red covers all our sins and blacks out our failing eyes.

Yellow of the sick, and sadness of one’s diseased,
now shining from the touch of God who’s own skin was made to bleed.
Lost upon a path, filled with sin that’s stained us brown,
washed in his bath, made clean as dust, he formed us from the ground.

Regrets of shameful behaviour, and the fear of future failure,
becomes old metal cages that melt to silver riches of our saviour.
And the hot pink of lust, with deep orange s*xual rust-fashion
fades between the shades as he paints us with his passion.

Restoration take us over, our lives as white canvas for his throne,
the gold that so corrupts us, he’d use to now build his home.
May the royal colours of his robe, replace our diluted dye
God clothe us and keep us close, be the rainbow in our sky.

The Glue of the Galaxy

Failure, is the wrong road, when you have a long long way to go.
Danger, is the darkness, when you're too far away from home.
Precious, is the moment, that can take away your breath,
when, in a second of that same moment, you could have nothing left.

Special, is the star, that shoots across the expanse of skies,
and strength, the tears of sacrifice, I see written within your eyes.
Love, the skin and bone, that was crushed for us below his throne,
and grace, the gift of beauty, when the destruction is ours alone.

Peace, is the silence, when you find the center of the storm,
And patience, the pen that cancels, after the ‘end-of-the-line’s just been drawn.
Compassion, is the fruit, that falls on a dry and desperate riverbed,
providing not a cent, but giving abundant life instead.

Anger, is the thorn, that grows on the relentless bush of regret,
whilst pain, the prick and poison, that leaves the body and soul bent.
Forgiveness, is the rain, when all your walls are too hard to wash,
and perseverance, each single step, of every man who’s carried his own cross.

So…what if our hands, could lift up the whole earth?
Would we be the one to raise them? Would we want to be the first?
Would we use the breadth of our palms, and would we use every finger?
or abuse the strength of our arms, and just point at every sinner?
How can we be, in complete bliss, raise our voices or a clenched fist,
and swear by what we know, when there’s something crucial we have missed?
Could we ever manage alone, when we can’t even agree?
Or could we just trust in the God, who is the glue of the galaxy…

I Have A Friend

I have a friend
who died for me,
who rose again,
who set me free.
Freed from sin
and every flaw,
and all the empty
reasons I lived for.

Tiny dreams
and short lived laughs,
just puny drops
of life's big glass.
On a deep blue sea
he has me sailing,
storm clouds flee
‘cos it's him that’s reigning.

As rays of sunshine
fall upon my face,
my scars now smiles
of erased mistakes.

Jesus, yes that’s his name, wants to be your friend, that’s why he came.
That’s why he also has a boat for you, would you like to know him to?

The Tears I Cry

Standing in a field of flowers, wide eyed under your evening sky
on the inside just a desperate dessert dying from the devils lies.
How loud should I shout? How dirty should these knees become,
until you see what true life's about, until you can touch the son?

How can the blind describe how bright the sight, is of the light from stars above,
when the eyes of those are always closed and frozen to the fathers love?
How many painful tears to cry, how long and hard must my soul weep,
until the lost and lame at last are found, until they find their fragile feet?

And deep below I know, they don’t know what they should know,
but through the truth that’s tamperproof, the devils hands will let them go.
With crystal glass-cut clarity, and the kings compassion in the reflection,
an outpouring of his purity will make men marvel at his perfection.

So with my strong hands I will shake foundation, and with my soft-still voice you will hear my screams,
until the web of your withered “wisdom” will start bursting out at the seams,
and as our two worlds begin to meet, I already know that you are scarred,
but I’ve set you free from your defeat, so now be still, for I am God.

Sir, Think Again

God is in the business of changing things…
Changing situations of the nations and its people.
Changing purposes and the goals that we all reach for,
changing entire lives and one's twisted perceptions,
and replacing life's lenses from one's shaded perspectives.

He likes changing futures, the present and the past,
the life you still need to live, and the life you've already lost.
Changing impossible circumstances and the giants that we face,
by providing endless second chances, and redefining the treasures we try chase.

You think you can’t change things? You think things can’t change?
You think your mess is so novel you best tear up each page?
You think it can never get, or be any better than this?
You think you're just wasting away, stuck in a cycle of destructiveness.

You think your wound is too deep, it’s best to leave it to rot?
You think you're just a miniature tree, and blame the small pot that you got?
You compare what you can offer, and settle for the scraps of your faults,
a life willed on being bitter and not better, from a heart filled with more pepper than of salt

If your hopeless reasons have reached, higher than your empty answers can bare,
and if your screaming has been silenced by the belief that no one would care.
If your forecast predicts that there's
always no sunshine after the rain,
well...all I have to say to you then is...

Sir, think again.

Lord please forgive me!

Here are my sins, do cast them away. Purge me from within, where much iniquity lay. Make pure the inside, remove all my guilt. Do, cast it aside, yes, all the filth. Grant me your grace; let sins be forgiven. Please, for christ sake, pardon, seventy times seven! Lord don't condemn me, i know i have sinned. My hopes are on thee- all hopes i pinned! I seek your light, show me the path. May i recieve sight, grant me anew start! In jesus name i pray; please hear his voice. Lord have your way. Let my soul rejoice!
