CAT D9 AND MATT.....!

There's a story let me tell you
That happened some time back
So grab a stump and listen
'Bout a D9 Cat. and Matt.
It was '08 round September
And the word had just come through
'Bout some fellers that were coming
To do an interview

They were from a publication
From France across the sea
And arranged to take some photos
Of the Cat.D9 and me
So we did the picture bit OK...
They were awestruck at the 'C'
Then it came at last to my turn
To tell them about me

So I told what they needed
And how to drive the Cat.
Explained about the blade plough
The seeder an' all that
How we rake the country
Before we start to sow
They were speechless as I rambled
Till I gave them both a go

At driving from the cabin
How to turn and twist and back
By the time that they had finished
I think they had the 'knack"
Still silent from the action
They were lost at what to say
But were happy with their efforts
Of their 'drive the Cat' display

Some time later we all parted
Me back to my job
For I must keep the hours up
And earn an honest 'bob'
Then came the time the boss came out
A magazine for me to see
In centre fold was Cat.D9
And large as life was me

The pictures didn't look so bad
The Cat. looked good and clean
And there was 'Matt' as bold as brass
The centre of the scene
Then I looked at all the writing
Gave a squawk of sheer dismay
It was in French... the whole damn lot
What it said I could not say

Then one day while in Roma
I said to my friend 'Pete'
About to print some photos
From the Magazine to keep
And he said just leave it with me
He knew a lady he could see
That could translate into English
The story here for me

So he got it all translated
It was done down at 'SURAT
And I was so so excited
About the story an' all that
So I made a deal and offered
To shout Dinner and a yarn
With the Lady and her Hubby
And her friend called 'Christianne'

So in March we had the dinner
It was sad to see it end
For the company was excellent
And now they are my friends
So I went back to my home place
Where rests the D9 Cat.
And they went back to their place
South of Roma ...to SURAT

I Thought I Found A Job

Where Where
Are You Tonight
Why did you leave me here all alone
I searched the world over
And thought I found a job
You found another
And "PPTTT"
You were gone

About this poem:
This is a parody of a HeeHaw song. It was a country comedy and musical show that was on when I was a kid back in the 70's. With all the people out looking for work in this new economy, I thought this would be a good song for them to sing.

Sleeping Awake

Goodnight.
The evening it sighs,
The morn light she yawns,
As we sleep wide awake,
A screem with no sound,
The silence so LOUD,
Trying to run so far.
Not getting anywhere.
This hell is no dream.
Like a touch with no feel
All this true and so real.
As i welcome anther day...

Slamming Doors

Business all around closing
doors shutting down.
No more sales to have no
more jobs how sad.
To many doors closing and
none opening.
The economy is supposedly
picking up, but i do not
see doors swinging wide
for more jobs for all.
Jobs galore for all to see
but the economy is no
better for you and me.
Struggling through this
world right now.
Maybe someday i will see
help wanted ads for all.
For now struggle and
strife is my life.
Lord i give this to thee
for you are the answer
i seek.

Rome Wasn't Built in a Day!

My thoughts are keenly focused
Then suddenly they’re in overdrive
I can’t maintain a targets clear aim
When feelings roughly push me aside

Doggedly I go through the motions
Getting my work ready on my desk
While struggling with all my emotions
I’m thinking about him instead!

He had a mysterious hold on me
That I thought would ease over time
But the harder I try to fiercely resist
I’m compelled to keep looking behind

This is so damned ridiculous!!!
And it’s making me a little bit crazy!
Everything could’ve already been done
If that’s what he’d wanted from me

I’m not the one who gave up the goal
Doubting, and dropping the ball
He stopped playing, let me know that he quit
At least this is what, and how I recall

I’m not a sucker for punishment
So I took my licks and I left
But ever since then I’ve been haunted
By the scenarios deep in my head

I know better than to wish for what’s not
So I blocked his memory from my vision
But I fear this personal battle's been lost
And we’re headed for a painful collision

Or maybe he and I were just a fantasy
There was no way we’d ever get together
And now it’s time for me to forget the past
Perhaps that will make me feel better!

Or maybe, just maybe
I’ll keep sticking to my guns
Because Rome wasn’t built in a day
And once he sees that I really mean business
He’ll relent and finally give me my way

One can still pray...

About this poem:
Me and my antagonist... protagonist... you never know with relationships, intentions are real, masks conceal, at the end of the day we have to see it both ways to reach an agreeable deal...

~five of seven~

You push to the enth spitting out what I gave
Clock starts at eight, ends about five
Your recall's so bad
Cause it's all about you.

Whips in your hand and your 4 inch heels
You batter the meat to help in your feel
Always forgetting what they gave in the past
It's all about you while you crow's nest the mast.

You get thirty gives
To your Eighty five takes.
Yet the gives never seen
Your despair is all fake.

It's all about you as you superimpose
Your delicate mind upon those of brown nose
Push away others while brown will comply
As they live in the realm of your misguided lie~

About this poem:
Too often companies will forget all what you've done for them creating an all about them, which in turn pushes away good employees that have heart in their job's.

In Emergency Empty Pockets

When I shop I never say no
If a receipt they want to give
Many a poem I wrote on these
When paper is not near
On way home 'Phoenix' I wrote
Could barely fit it on there
How sad it'd be if poem not born
Not here in existence

Today!

Now is the time to seize the day
No matter what, come what may,
To think too long would be a crime!
Do you really have the time?
The clock is ticking, It will not stop!
Tick Tock! Tick Tock! Tick Tock! Tick Tock!
To make this choice to change your life,
Just like the moment you chose your wife,
To have a dream you can make true,
Is possible here for all to view,
So take this moment and find the way,
To a better life right now TODAY!

masks

Crazy silly people with whom i share my day give me a piece of insanity then send me on my way i observe thier performance, absurdly amusing as they change thier masks to make it more confusing and at the end of each day i gratefully head home to remove my heavy mask when i am alone and i laugh at the crazy silly people
