Why is it so that they seem to not know,
The answer to their question was definitely no?
You tell them once, you tell them twice,
Your anger grows after telling them thrice.

But they continue with the badgering,
Hoping to con you out of your thing.
To them it's nothing but a game,
Their parents probably do the same.

More than a game it is their hustle,
To them the mouth is their working muscle.
They could have what you have gotten,
The meaning of work they have forgotten.

They also don't seem to be able to save,
For if they did they would not crave,
To have that which I did conserve,
They're lying beggars, I did observe.

Maybe it's because they're lazy you see,
I just wish they'd quit bothering me.
As they continue they keep getting louder,
Until you want to fill them with gunpowder.

Their badgering seems to be persistent,
In saying no I am very consistent.
Once they realize that you wont budge,
It pleases them to hold a grudge.

It is not long before they return,
They pester you without any concern.
You always seem to have something they want,
And to get it they begin to whine and grunt.

In saying this I have not lied,
To see what would happen if I tried.
I asked of one to see how he'd act,
The dude almost died of a heart attack.

At work there is a wall with all the employees on it
The person who has been there the longest started in October 1974
He has worked there for 43 years 2 months and 15 days
He is beyond the age of retirement as he is 63 years old
He works for the health insurance and to pay for dental care
His wife does not take care of herself and needs constant care

I worked with a guy who has three years left to work
Then he is going to save up his five weeks of vacation
And roll it over to the next year in 2021
Then he will have 10 weeks of vacation
Including whatever sick time he has left
So he should retire some time in March 2021
He will be celebrating his 40 years of working there in July
He has only voluteered to work on Saturday twice in the last five years
He is one of the smart ones
He only has to work at this place 235 days a year
While anyone with less than 30 years has to work all Saturdays
Some volunteer for every day they can get
So it's around 300 days a year if you just work the mandatory overtime
If you volunteer it may be months before you have any time off
But at least you'll have some extra cash
To pay all those medical bills from working too much

I was told at work by a temp worker
I'm gonna make 950 bucks this week
I get eight hours a day for working here
I also get four hours for riding on a bus from Janesville
So six days of work gets me 72 hours of pay
I told him I only made 400 dollars as a temp
40 hours at 10 dollars an hour
8 hours at 15 dollars an hour
Minus 120 dollars in taxes paid
Minus all the gas money and wear and tear on my car
But at least I don't have to ride on a bus
The word is out on the street that this is a really bad place to work
So they have to bus in 60 workers from 100 miles away
To make the parts
Because most people in my area won't work here
And I don't blame them one bit!

Cummins, is where I work, which sells engines, mufflers, and metal parts
Piggly Wiggly is a grocery chain that sells milk, donuts, and cheese curds
