Silence

Talk to me Silence
So I will find out
I'm not alone
In the world
Where life is a shadow
Of survival syndrom
Please talk to me
Silence......

Dating

I joined this dating site
I'll give it all my might
If someone contacts me
What will I write

Will I reveal the truth
Or tell a fantasy
Because the girl is cute
Continue the Fallacy

It is a scary place
Exploring the unknown
Here every creed and race
Hope to make someone else their own

Love is a funny thing
That draws us together
Some exchange marriage rings
And live happy lives forever

So it's our trust and hope
That we will find our soul mate
So maybe, just maybe
It begins with a good first date

Cupid

Cupid draw back your bow
And let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart for me, for me
Cupid please hear my cry
And let your arrow fly
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Now I don't mean to bother you but I'm in distress
There's danger of me losing all of my happiness
For I love a girl who doesn't know I exist
And this you can fix
So, cupid draw back your bow
And let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Nobody but me
Cupid please hear my cry
And let your arrow fly
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Now, cupid if your arrow make a love storm for me
I promise I will lover her until eternity
I know between the two of us her heart we can steal
Help me if you will
So, cupid draw back your bow
And let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Nobody but me
Cupid please hear my cry
And let your arrow fly
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Now, cupid, don't you hear me
Calling you, I need ya
Cupid help me, I need ya
Cupid, don't fail me

Country Love Song

Not going to run away from happiness
Long as you can stop me chasing after it dear
So if I’m a fool for being anything
I’m a fool for being happy seeing you
When all the busy things in life keep gettin in the way
Just ain’t making it any easier for me to say
You know all it takes is one of your smiles
And I’ll come running back five hundred miles
Why I’m loyal as an ol' tan and black coon dog
Runnin outs the woods to greet you home
And you know I won’t use no cuss words
As long as you’re around me my dear
For I feel right nothing but happiness
Whenever you come back around here
I can’t speak fast enough the thoughts that spin
Around and around trying to say the words
Everything I want to say and have them come out right
So I’m not running away from happiness
Long as you can stop me chasing after it dear

Far From Perfect !

If I boast about my skills,
It's not that I pay my bills.

My flaws are easy to see ,
If you hang around me.

I try to be kind to all,
But my mouth may be my fall.

If you check my under arms ,
You may have some alarms.

I'll have a bath today,
Last one was Wednesday.

But if you check my heart,
You'll have a surprising report.

Some say it's made of gold ,
It's formed by much untold.

Hardship and pain can create,
A lot of sympathy for the lame.

Everyone has their story,
Listen and you may feel sorry.

So if I'm gruff and crude,
It's not because I'm rude.

We are shaped by this world,
And a product of that mold.

Some are proud of being good,
Others just dream of the Could.

I thank God I'm alive today,
His divine protection, I say.

I won't deceive or trick,
But it's hard to be perfect.!

Best feeling in the world

Love is the thing that keeps you up all......

Night because you would rather talk to that person than sleep....

A Prawn By Any Other Name.

Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean,
Were two prawns named Justin and Christian,
They loved swimming around and being larks,
But were constantly harassed by hungry sharks.
Finally one day, Justin fed up and forlorn,
Told his mate he was sick of being a prawn.
“I wish I was a shark and couldn’t be beaten,
Then I wouldn’t have to worry about being eaten.”
A mysterious cod appeared out of the dark,
And turned Justin into a great big shark.
Christian now fearful of being tempting bait,
Quickly swam away from his once good mate.
Time passed and now Justin was bored and alone,
When his friends saw him they scurried off home,
Justin soon realised that his appearance outright,
Was now the cause of his unhappy plight.
One day while swimming alone in his domain,
He encountered the mysterious cod again,
He begged to be changed from his menacing shark form,
And lo and behold he once again became a prawn.
With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes,
He went and bought cocktails for all the prawn guys,
(Ah! You might be thinking prawn cocktails in this verse,
Is the punch line…but no… believe me… it’s worse).
Looking around the gathering amongst reef and coral,
He couldn’t see Christian, his dear old frightened pal.
“Where’s Christian,” he frantically sought,
And was told he was at home and very distraught.
Looking to put things right again and to make amends,
He shouted through Christian’s door that they should be friends.
“No way man,” said Christian, who had grown so much thinner,
“You’re a shark! I won’t be tricked into being your dinner.
Justin replied, “No I’m not…I’ve learnt my lesson,
I’ve found Cod. I’m a Prawn again, Christian!”

Ghosts

I remember my sister having to move out
Of that farm house, it filled her with doubt
Seems an old man had died there after living there most of his life
He wanted the house to himself, he didn't even have a wife
What a lonely ghost he must be
But some prefer solitude to fill them with glee
So he would watch her when she would dream
He scared her away wanting to make her scream
Then there's the ghosts at the manufacturing place where my friend works
The building dates back the late 1800's
Seems they died at work making bowling alley parts
When that press came down on him it sure did smart!
So now and then they'll turn off a light or turn on a radio
Even make my friend wonder where did my bicycle go?
These ghost like to play pranks, but it's solitude they seek
They're tired of all the workers and my friend the geek
But soon next year the building will be torn down
Where will they haunt then, what aisles will they go down?
When it come to witches, warlocks, and ghosts
It's ghost I love the most!

Rain

Hurricane Michael sending rain down
All this bad weather is like the IT clown
Somebody must be behind all this mess
Who is responsible?
I can only guess
Is it the government seeding clouds?
Is it all the global warming from too many cows?
Belching methane out of their cuds and their behinds
I just wish we could find some way to rewind
When there wasn't so many doing so wrong
Driving their CO2 producing cars
Trying to turn this planet into Mars

I have tried

Little is as always was
When romance still was king
Days of prose and days of poems
And days of songs to sing
I looked across a sea of smiles
And none were turned to me
For old I was in my ways
And not I'm meant to be

In the time of here and now
Another man is sought
His mouth must curse the one he's with
And she'll so be caught
Call her whore, call her slut
To you they will gather
Be like me and show respect
And son you will not have her

I have tried to be the man
That I was taught to be
Do not curse, show respect
Just brought me misery
I sometimes try to wear a mask
And be the cur girls seek
Soon still I find it is not me
Back to romantic geek

About this poem:
Just wish I could be like the guys that seem to have women drooling all over them no matter how badly they treat them. I look at my upbringing and wonder why I wasn't taught to be a bad boy type. They get the girls and no matter what women tell you nice guys not only finish last... They aren't even allowed in the race.
