Beneath a pearl umbrella
shelter to attain
the meanest, greenest, dancing glass
the Burmese summer rain

Come late, late in the evening
my candle burn down low
Come late, late in the evening
my candle burn down low
we all got peace back in the barnyard baby
the day you decided to go
I took your suitcase to the station
the train had two lights on behind
I took your suitcase to the station
the train had two lights on behind
both red and blue for you baby
'cos you're finally off my mind

Parody of Love in Vain

There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
If you listen carefully now you will hear
This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why
Things are not the way they used to be
I won't tell no lie
One and all got to face reality now
Though I try to find the answer
To all the questions they ask
Though I know it's impossible
To go living through the past
Don't tell no lie
There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
Can't keep them down
If you listen carefully now you will hear
Such a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why
There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
I won't tell no lie
If you listen carefully now, you will hear
There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
Such a natural mystic, blowing through the air
There's a natural mystic blowing through the air
Such a natural mystic, blowing through the air
Such a natural mystic, blowing through the air

Well I'm in love with little April
but May just down the road
yeah I'm in love with little April
but May just down the road
pretty soon I'll be in to June
and the others don't need to know

Author: Pablo Neruda
I want you to know
one thing.
You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.
Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.
If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.
If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.
But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

If all the sharp stars, fell down from up high, from spaces beyond deep blue skies...
Would you even try, to catch at least one, or stare glaring as each star dies?...
Might you doubt that I, care not for my sight, I'd stare at the sky until you...
View blue's truest blues, through night's true blue hues, bright minds sometime see more than eyes...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dark skies display stars, honed by the Sun's rays, sight gone, yet now I can see...
More clear than I ever, I pray that you never, stop shining your light down on me...
At times and on days, in ways brightly blaze, star-points pierce through the night's shades...
And I've felt the pain of your stars from the start, sharp blades fiercely pierce while they play....
I can’t erase you from my memory
And my heart loved only you
I think of you consciously and subconsciously
I see you in my dreams
And I feel you with my feelings
I hope for the sunrise
And I wait for the sun to shine so I can breathe
When the night comes, I hold the light between my ribs
Your soul passes through me along with the night
And It engulfs my body
How can we be free,
when freedom to dream,
s'not available
Where dark-deeds,cold-steel black-hearts,
always seem to prevail
When suffering evil con-flict and violence,
stand in as the or-der of the-day
That's just the way,
you will hear people say
So stop dreaming
it don't-change won't-change can't-change,
so why bother to dream
The heart that you wear on your sleeve will only start bleeding
So don't waste your time anyway on a day-dream
But I say to you,
Don't believe that it's true
be a dreamer
The long-night dark-night cold-night
Is gone with the new-day
As a liitle sun-light can-start win-ter ice melting,
If you live your dream, dreams can drive darkness away
A year ago all was well
now it feels just like hell
if we sneeze were asked to leave
wear a mask or don't come back
media spreads the fear so fast
we take hope it wont last
young or old, rich or poor
covid knocks at your door
Jesus says trust in Him
If we do things arent so glim
ten thousand years and we'll look back
we won't remember it so black
say your prayers and Golden rule
keep the kids home from school
Don't lose hope,trust in God
this too shall pass,either side the sod.
About this poem:
I wrote this in about 15 mins, the past years' experiences seemed to just draw it out of me. I hope others like it and are not offended by the spiritual aspect of it,I draw comfort,inspiration,strength, peace of mind and guidance from the Lord....... if just one person is made to feel a bit better by it then I'm happy.
Breakout!
When explanations make no sense
When every answers wrong
You're fighting with lost confidence
All expectations gone
The time has come to get infected
Go to a barbeque, don't hestitate
Breakout!
Don't stop to ask
Go ahead and take off your mask
You've got to find a way
Get infected today
Breakout!!
Some people stop at nothing
To be sure that you have nothing
They close down the restaurants, close down the stores, wipe out the jobs
Breakout!
