O Gee, I guess...

I went to a bar that they call the last chance
I asked this pretty lady if she wanted to dance
She looked at me and smiled and as I began to grin
Her boyfriend walked right up and hit me on the chin

Oh gee I guess I'll always be a mess
I'll never find the right one for me
But I won't frown I'll just sit my butt back down
Bartender pour me another shot of JD

I went to a grocery store never been there in my life
A friend wrote and told me that's where he met his wife
So I walked up to a pretty lady and asked her for a date
She turned around, looked at me and whacked me with a steak

Oh gee I guess I'll always be a mess
I'll never find the right one in here
Feels like I'm going blind while standing in this line
Please ring up another case of beer

I went to a party they said it would be fun
We all whooped and hollered but I didn't know anyone
I asked this pretty lady if she'd tell me her name
She just looked, cracked her whip and asked if I was tame

Oh gee I guess I'll always be a mess
I'll never find a good girl or friend
That party's all wrong, don't wanna be whipped on
I'll cuddle up with my bottle of gin

I went to a nightclub that had a good floor show
A dozen pretty ladies came walking through the door
One looked over my way and gave a little wink
Then she walked right up to me and offered me a drink

We sat, we laughed, we talked and talked for a long long while
And I was so enchanted every time she smiled
I said I'd better make her mine as soon as I can
When we got into her bed I found she was a man

Oh gee I guess I'll always be a mess
A thousand drinks won't bring me that much cheer
I may be alone I think I'll make it on my own
Cause I'll be darned if I'll take it in the rear.

About this poem:
A friend from southern rock band asked me to write a quirky song that they could use as an icebreaker. Now they want more. LOL

Adoring You

Draw close
Draw close and you will surely
hear the melody that is playing
softly..in my heart.

Playing sweetly,in the part of me
that is all yours, that truly adores.

And no matter if you’re here with me
Or, sometimes very far away, I pray
that we are always close in spirit everyday.

For, I will always be loving and adoring you.
Adoring you..my prescious one ..for who you are.

Adoring...you...adoring you,
for...who...you...are

SINGLE

SINGLE…
Single to hold single to write
single to live ,single to type
single to eat to sleep to bear
to wake up alone with whom to share?
Single to breath single to scare
single to carry,single to bed
And single moment of despair
has single echo in the air..
And how to write how to sing
a single melody of me? if single life
does persists?and single people go to sleep?
And you and me we often dream to live
beyond that single been...

WiFi

Wifi, Wifi,
I'm on the end of my screen,
You make we wanna scream

Waited for you all day and night
but you never came to love me at all

Wifi, Wifi,
Why do you lie?
You lied and made a mess of me

Do you care?
Do you share?
You send me rainbows and hearts
Then disappear

Wifi,Wifi
Why do you lie?
You lied and made a mess of me

You forget i'm real,
Sitting here,
Waiting for a skype from you
Hit me up on instagram
But now you just abandon me

Wifi, Wifi
Why do you lie?
You lied and made a mess of me...

Imagine if you could transport a band from 1967 SF to the present day...what would they make of this internet age?..well, here's a fair go at what kind of song lyric they might write...

The woman is similar to wine

Yes, the woman is similar to wine,
And where wine, is important for the man there
To know sense of proportion. Don't look for the reason
Not it is guilty of wine if I am drunk-.
Yes, in the woman as in the book, the wisdom is.
The sense is capable to understand her great
Only competent. Also don't become angry about the book,
If, I haven't managed to read it.

WHAT I SEE

I've seen the fire, that you think that you should hide.
try not to show it, bury it down deep inside.
though you don't know it I've seen the flames there in your eyes
I know you don't think it's true,
but I see more light in you than you do.

I know the darkness and the deamons that you fight.
the daily struggle just keep your soul alive
I know your stronger, and will do more than just survive
I know you cant believe it's true,
but I see more strength in you, than you do.

I want to see your shining fire,
lighting up the world
I can catch only glimpses in your eyes.
I'd like to be
one to set it free
to help you keep trying,
to set you spirit flying
so you can see in you, what I can see.

Show me your fire, don't keep it locked inside.
let me be that someone from whom you've no need to hide,
though you're not sure yet, just you look into my eyes
Then at last you'll know It's true,
I want to see and know the whole of you.

Jeeves

A dowager summoned her butler with some duress,
“Please Jeeves, come take off my dress,
Take off my petticoat,
Take off my bra.
For I know the man that you really are!
Please take off my panties,” she said with some yearning,
She knew that her butler was discreet and discerning.
“Yes Ma’am,” he answered with respect and with tact,
Finally she said in a language exact,
“Now if you wear my clothes again, you’ll be sacked!”

Everyone chooses for itself

Everyone chooses for itself
Woman, religion, road;
To serve a devil or the prophet,
Everyone chooses for itself
Everyone chooses on itself
The word for love and for a prayer.
Sword for duel, a sword for fight
Everyone chooses on itself
Everyone chooses on itself
Board and armor, staff and patches,
Measure of final payment
Everyone chooses on itself
Everyone chooses for itself.
I choose too — as I am able.
To anybody no claims I have.
Everyone chooses for itself

Out of Line

(Since I'm stuck writing poems for six more days, might as well try to write an actual one instead of talking like it's a poem.)

maybe write another
and try this time
maybe someone other
ain't gone this time
is she out there lasting
don't know when
ever found within there
love again
no one knows the reason
were not strong
only know it couldn't be
all that wrong
asking precious sorrow
for some time
got to know, forever's
out of line

Don't trust him, sometimes yourself,

Don't trust him, sometimes yourself,
When return I have wanted home.
The one who has thrown this house once,
But again it is knocked under your window.

In what love inconceivable sense
Love not a lodge old idle time.
Whose walls can be bleached anew,
And every time to glaze a window.

Love as fantastic palace,
The fairy tale and to the palace the end has disappeared.
The love is the base monolith,
Will crack, the palace won't resist.

Don't trust him, sometimes yourself,
When the fugitive asks home.
There where ruins in ashes and in blood,
How to revive the palace of former love?
