Berkshire men on Hunt again

The season is upon us now
With upcoming Fall.
White Tail will run
And ducks and geese fall.
Men will hide on limbs
suspended in the air,
Watching turkeys pass
With cold ,blank stares.
Then the ice will freeze.
And out will come the sticks,
The ones with orange flags.
While wives pack their lunches,
In quart size plastic bags
to cook on blazing fires
Lit along the shore
That cooks the fish and meat
While warming hands and feet
All huddle close, as. temperatures drop
And all become as one with only one thought,
"We are Berkshire men
We will never change
Never in a thought, word or age,

Condasending moments

I had just turned sixty, when it all began.
It descended like a rainfall and
progressed to out of hand
I started getting help

to keep up house and chores
Do ashes, dust and
Sometimes mopping Flores.
It was all so very nice
Until she said, once or twice
"I just love it when I
See you drinking Water"
And "Here let me help you
Put your clippies on."
Just like a two year old.
She thought I fit the mold.
She was only seeing numbers,
Not my state of mind
Or even flow of speech.

Lieasure Time

lying in my wooden skiff
I watched the clouds roll by
And listened to the water
Slaping portside.

My hand slipped in the water
Grasping ocean's weed
Thats when I thought of Ozzie
My boy when he was rhree
And the neckless that we made,
One for him an one for me

. the sun was very hot
It was around three
Time to awaken
I kept telling me

Back to the shore
To all those house chores
No more naps in boats
Not beneath the sun,
nOT beneath the moon
No teven at lunch time
ttime Just before noon!

Elusive Love

Lying in bed at the day's final hour, I am troubled by the solitude in which I once found comfort. The sense of security that I once felt has dissipated to reveal a desperation unlike any other.
As I close my eyes, I await sweet slumber and the freedom it brings from the troubled life I live. My consciousness fades and my heart takes flight, painting a beautiful scene of romance.
Relaxing under an old oak tree, I look to my soul mate lying next to me and take her hand in mine. We gaze into each other's eyes, conveying the unspoken desire within our hearts.
I look to the sky and can't help but notice the growing light from the afternoon sun, forcing me to turn away.
I am awakened by the morning light pouring through my window. It is then that I find myself lying in bed, staring at the empty space beside me once again.

In The Distance

Gazing out over the turbulent waters that surround
me for miles, I see nothing but the blue sky above and
its reflection below. I drift along in heart-wrenching
solitude as the water gently laps at my boat. My only
comfort resides in the memories I hold dear, though
they are fading from my mind.
As I look towards the horizon, the sinking sun sets
fire to the ominous storm clouds that come ever closer.
When night falls, the rain falls with it as the icy gales
quickly launch the sea into a torrential churning of its
darkened waters.
Clinging to what little hope I still have for survival,
I steel my mind in anticipation of the trials ahead. I
hold on for dear life, while the swelling and fading of
the sea takes control of my boat. Minutes pass like
hours, but still I hold on.
After an unperceivable length of time, the storm
subsides. The clouds dissipate to let rays of sunlight
shine through and bathe me in their warmth. Although
what I seek is still somewhere in the distance, my hope
has been restored. I have not yet failed, for my journey
has just begun...

Willow

The evening sun sets the sky ablaze. It peeks between the trees and speckles the ground with shifting patches of orange light. The forest ebbs and flows with the swaying of the trees.

Bluejay swims in with a cool gust, searching for a place to rest for the night. He comes to a clearing with a shimmering lake, where silver fish soar among the stars that wink at their reflection in the sky.

On the far side of the lake stands the lonely Willow. Her verdant hair dances in the breeze and beckons to Bluejay. He happily flits down to perch on one of her twisted branches. The moon smiles upon them, and provides a gentle, comforting glow as they drift off into sweet slumber together.

Immortalized

Standing at the top of a waterfall,
I swan-dive off the edge
with no fear of death.
So long as you hold my heart,
I need not fear a thing,
for I will never truly die.

The Facts of Life

Our days quickly passing by
To slow the aging process, we usually try
Regardless, they go so fast
Our final destination, they cast
Reminding us of the memories of our past
Telling us that all we have is today
We must exert every possible effort to enjoy
About the future nothing we can do or say
It is unpredictable in every way
All we have is hope for a better tomorrow
Without regrets or sorrow
Those are the real fact of life
To enjoy our days, we must strive
Seize every opportunity to help someone
Without realizing it, they here today but tomorrow they are gone

A Tribute to My Late Brother

With a broken heart I say to you
You will remain with me in spirit in whatever I do
I wish that I had the chance to say goodbye
But I hope that your soul is floating in the heavenly sky
To protect and guide me
To open my eyes and let me see
That life is too short
Holding grudges and bad feelings we should abort
We must extend our hand to those we love
Knowing that saying sorry is tough
But it will open hearts for forgiveness
And clear from our lives sadness
I hope that you will hear me calling your name
Saying that without you, life will never be the same
We didn’t often connect but I always loved you
Regardless of what you had to do
Please, forgive me if I ever hurt your feeling
While with trivial issues we were dealing

Eternities

Stranger!
Look Up
A broken shooting star
Fading across the sullen skies
Burning in throes of cosmic o*gasm
The mournful and oblivious night
Screams silently in a sombre spasm

But does it's dying light
illuminate the darkness of eternities?

Ghost!
Listen
The distant rumble of ominous thunder
singing lullabies across murky horizons
whispering incantations of carnal pleasures
the departed lovers, now dead or dying
still choking on shared breaths from a buried past
like madmen searching for lost forlorn treasures

But do the lamentations of the estranged
reverberate across the eternities?

Pilgrim!
Look Inside
An abyss of decay, this insatiable lurid void
Only constant in this life of clutter and chaos
Stuffed with hollow and mundane relations
The hallowed shrine of morbid depravities
Retains memories of tears and fears and cremations

But can those hands reaching out into this void
penetrate the blinding darkness of eternities?
