When you're establishing online communication rush is out of the question from my viewpoint. If I feel 'pressured' to respond 3 times a day my response rate quickly falls to 1, 1/3, 1/7 - take it easy, we're probably not going to be face to face for 6 months anyway! Perhaps that was an advantage of ship mail! There you could take weeks to compose thoughtful words. But the Skype or Wechat are much more demanding. When I last got married and email was barely underway, that was okay, but then it became daily international calls and it cost $1000 a month! Bring back email!
Looks more like Kevin McCwhatisname having a tantrum after being beaten 12 times straight by the Democrat candidate whose party at least knows how to pull together.
@ray fyi: if paste the youtu.be link into the browser address line, it becomes a youtube link. so just copy youtu.be, paste, copy again and paste into the blog.
A piece of wit and wisdom from @AB perhaps - OMG! So what is love then? What has love been in my life for example? Some have been times of pain and incredible sadness and loss. Others have been of such focussed devotion, but the focal point seems to change over time and I can see that in my own history. If partner or children or parents are at risk how to measure it? Somehow the loves lost are those that have left the greatest mark
I cannot imagine any circumstances or tone of voice in which those words would be acceptable. But it does bring to mind winds I recall from 70 years ago: New Zealand, Christchurch, a movie theatre. There I was, a little boy aged 7 watching Disney's Bambi and Fantasia. I still recall the gentle words: 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'. Not sure they still apply here, however. Saying something nice here is likely to tar the other person with your brush!
@op we do indeed still have DT Potus45 - surely the most derided despised ridiculed prez of all time, with a train of legal crocodiles snapping at his tail, and a long trail of his own companies' bankruptcies and those of his suppliers behind him. The trail of Chapter 11s goes a long way further back than 2015, however - 1991, 1992, 2004 and 2009. In the wake of such insolvencies there is always the unpublished list of those that supplied and serviced and went under with him.
Shaping up to be a brilliant blunder, isn't it! Outstandingly the biggest of the year, perhaps the decade or century. Someone here was congratulating Musk on his prescience but it always seemed a strange grab in fact. Now it just looks stupid. Twitter posted a loss in 8 out of the last 10 years, and Tesla hasn't done any better. Hard to understand how the stock price is so high. Kinda bitcoinish.
I attended my first wife's laser surgery for detached retina and was astounded/horrified when I saw her eye had been removed from the socket and was hanging suspended. I am particularly squeamish and witnessing caesarian childbirth I found pretty tough, but that was quite something else! She did fully recover vision.
@konrad you just read my remark in an old old blog and you commented on it. There I said 'blogs should not use more than three emojis' but what did you just do? Huh?

@butch I see season 5 of Fargo is in casting or production...
