Butcher, thanks for your comment. I worked with a guy who owned a big diesel Dodge pickup truck and he changed the computer chip for one that actually developed more horsepower. The engine was capable, but the stock chip controlled the fuel/air mixture to pass government emissions standards. Technically, the high performance chip was illegal.
One article stated more than a dozen and only listed 11. Montana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Indiana, Vermont and Maryland.
The side note to this blog is Trump is using his TRUTH site to say anything he wants and that includes defamation comments to E. Jean Carrol, special counsel Jack Smith and his family without any repercussions.
His supporters play it down like it's harmless school-boy humor, when it's not.

My dislike for Trump started long before his bid for the White House. He was a con artist his entire career and very good at it, especially when you have no means of fact checking his lies, but when the lies keep stacking up and people begin to realize he's a liar...

As far as the day goes, I bought a used model helicopter last Sunday and a friend who does my mechanical stuff, went through and adjusted things. I got 4 flights on it and delighted with it's performance.
Lots of fireworks displays on the 3rd, probably because they get to rest today.
Sadly, every year someone gets injured and in one event, a 43 year old woman died, 10 were injured and some homes and vehicles were damaged in Michigan when a display exploded.
loulou, let's say you remove the microwave and the cabinet above. You will have to patch the wall behind. What is the current backsplash and it's height? If you sell the microwave on Craig's list or Facebook, you can recoup some money. But... you would have to buy a microwave designed to sit on the counter. Do you have a place for that?
If the vented pyramid hood is what you really want... go for it. After all, it only money!
