iota What I have learned in life is war happens when we have something to gain...recession brings about hardships...grass roots people upset over cutbacks and unemployment...countries on the verge of being bankrupt...however I am not convinced that recession or these problems start conflict of that grand nature...who can tell the motives of the leaders of this world...I do not believe everything I read... the propaganda that will be fed to us...
soc One of the reason why I feel First Nations people are generally a good people...they only take what is needed...understand that a life taken is precious in order to feed their tribe...and give thanks...all people are considered needed...nature is respected in their daily lives...they have many gods sort to speak to pay homage to...their spirituality and/or reasoning extends to people who do not fit in with others' views which is a topic here for debate...we could all learn from the people who first enhabited The North Americas...
soc Being close to nature can evoke emotions or thoughts of who we are in the scheme of things...if this is the "essence" that you speak of then I guess spirituality can be derived from nature...
jim I like reading bumper stickers too...one of my favorites is a picture of the KFC logo...the man in white...with words that said...I am Dead...kinda funny but morose!!
lind I find no matter how reasonable and understanding you (we)are, we will always encounter people in life or on-line that thrives on drama...words are written and misconstrued...perhaps it is our insecurity that creates a negative environment...the need to be right...just a thought!!...anyways I have always enjoyed discussions that require thought and the ones that are just plain silly...hopefully some CS members will make an appearance again...Cheers!!
Maybe that is the problem... haha...at any rate...the frustration lies in the people that are willing to hear others' opinions and views, only to have the door closed on their face...is it a losing battle?...I am one who shares your views...
non As to the blog which you had refered to (lind)...many people do not think about what their opinions or beliefs do to suppress others's rights to their happiness...they only see black and white...sometimes people are most harmful even when their intentions are good...
It occured to me that maybe the people with a lack of humour or understanding just want to be right...they see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear...they are simply blind/deaf to what's going on, out of choice...so mr...I am sure you are not the only one in this predicament, despite being Australain!!
