cat Sad but a great story to write about...has the potential...funny how life can be good one moment then...change so drastically...I am truly sorry for him and his loss...a man broken...so you don't know if he alive?...I hope he has reunited with his children and turned his life around...one can hope.
I think my point was missed somehow...so to make it clear...as an example...the Koran is the bible of the Muslim faith...the Taliban interpreted the Koran for their own political agenda...is it the religion that is wrong or is it man that tainted the very meaning of the religious writings for their own gain? The wolf in sheep's clothing...many do things in the name of religion...but are deceitful in doing so...
sunday For me it is not a question on how big your contribution towards humanity is...any small act of kindness or consciousness towards the greater good for all adds up... So that being said, I try to do my part as a responsible citizen...work, pay taxes, recycle and donate my time and money for others' who have very little...maybe provide hope when possible...and sometimes just listen... cheers!
hans I think what I was trying to say that religion is just that...a story... but people decide what is to be done...so if it was decided that a religion was to be forced upon its' people...it sounds more like a power play between church and state...politically motivated...not by religion as a faith...as I said religion could be used as the vehicle to deception...
john Everyone has hope to a certain degree...in my opinion...I buy lottery tickets and have some hope but know the odds!!
In regards to the topic of religion and power...many grass roots people did not have the ablity to read or write, so they went to church to listen to the priests/ministers of the churches read from the scriptures...keeping the people illiterate gave the church power...is what I learnt in school...however religion should not be held accountable for the err of mankind...so being religious does not make you any less susceptable to evil...religion could be used as the vehicle of deception. Just my opinion...
itchy It is an interseting topic...mental illness and what possesses people to do harm...the scope of mental illness is vast and difficult to comprehend...
cat Thanks for clearing that up hahaha...just watched a movie about her and one of her lovers...a week with marilyn...but it could have been pillow talk!! Cheers!!
molly The place where I absolutely loved was a city in Vietnam, once named Saigon...at a table outside a cafe in the early morning having my french coffee and pastry watching the people and traffic...
nice Sorry to hear about your husband...hope he is better...yes I think heredity is a factor involved...I too, have people in my family who suffers from depression and schizophrenia...
leah Mental illness in not caused by evil...in my opinion...it is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Unfortunately, for mosy people living with this illness it can reek havock in their lives even when medication is being implemented to suppress it.
As for the Jeffrey Dalmers' or the Ted Bundys of the world, I believe in a nuture and nature scenario....a combination of what was done (experience)in their early years of growing up and the pre-existing chemical imbalance that once combined, created the monster within. This subject matter of serial killers is a far more complex issue that can be explained but is a very interesting topic!
godan I have seen the energy release from people who have passed away as well heard others speak about visits from loved ones who have departed. If there is another side to life great!...I guess I will have to wait and see...but I don't doubt the stories i have heard.
sunday Good blog as always!!...the matter of trust...it is a process...little by little I can invest in someone and either be pleasantly surprised or disappointed...a relationship takes time to flourish and so does trust...not to say I am suspicious of individuals from the start...but through time we understand and appreciate, (develop a rapport with) people we want to trust...A little faith in people comes with the territory!
cat If you don't like the heat, Canada maybe a better alternative to texas...oh yes, and plenty of seals to club for food not to mention the wide open spaces...
sunday Yes a good blog discussion!!! Jealousy.... I think most emotions that we go through are acceptable...it means we are alive!!...and who wants to be devoid of emotions...good or bad...but if your thoughts become clouded...full with negativity or obsessive...is this healthy to continue to invest in that relationship?
RE: A Spaceman Came Traveling.
