If you have been separated for over 2 years I doubt that your planning on a reconciliation But, I agree that it is best to be up front and honest when active seeking a relationship and explain the situation as no two separations are the same.
It all depends on what you term as true English, our original English was Anglo Saxon but that was actually a form of old German, English as spoken today has it's roots with Latin as influenced by the rise of the roman empire in southern England. English spoken today is really quite close to that of 100 years ago, but different to that spoken around Chaucer’s time (1400's) which was middle English. All languages change, the influences coming from all over the world will mould and form every day.
There is very little point in being a member of a dating site if you are not prepared to meet someone in real life. For those that are here just for the forum it is of course a different matter.
I have not hidden my age, and have no idea if I look 54 or not, it is not something that comes up in conversations and really I have no opinion about it, It is not as though I can actually change it
I think that is the secret, to be light hearted and not take it all so serious, now and again a topic will rise that is semi serious but should still be views in a somewhat light version or else egos get in the way and then people get touchy.
Ah with you now , I remember something similar with a girl I met in Devon, who turned up at my home in Swindon some months later, she stayed for three days before leaving, I think she realised when I moved out on the second day lol
I would wait until I got to the new country, then take time to adjust to the cultural differences and lifestyle before making any moves to finding a life partner. Oh wait......................Thats what I’m doing right now
Why do you think that?, In the UK if you win the jackpot you get free advice on investments and a financial plan to ensure that the money lasts the rest of your lifetime. Only through sheer stupidity could you waste that amount of money in a couple of years
Because of the concentration of woodland plus the dry climate, controlled burns are not allowed until late autumn when the rains have arrived, however, once spring has returned the areas re-grow with bracken which at this time of year has died off and becomes very inflammable. There are fire breaks in the forests but due to the wind the fire jumps across and continues on its way. We have now had over six hours of continuous dowsing but I can still see smoke rising from some of the more dense areas.
That is why MOST governments are forced to have elections every so many years, so the people can vote them to remain or to vote in a different party with different ideas on how to govern that country.
In Theory anyway, sadly most political parties are as bad as each other
I have a friend here who is an environmentalist, she has spent 3 years trying to get the government to re-introduce Fallow deer to these mountains, in march it was allowed so some pairs were released, all are in the area hit by the fires
Thank you all so much for your thoughts and comments, the fire here in Calci is almost out, the air force has been dowsing with water since 6 AM with both helicopters and Hercules planes, amazing flying as they get so close to each other, the fires towards the second mountain are also under control now. Approx 140 hectares of land has been burnt down but no fatalities thank goodness, the local Police say the fires were deliberate, 6 were started in various areas, Tuscany and in particular the Pisa region has been hit by arsonists badly this week, what makes them do this is beyond my imagination. I will post some pictures when I can.
Thats okay, so far it stretches about 6 miles across two major mountains and has now crossed over to the far side, these mountains are from 600 to 900 meters high and are mainly pine forests, there is not much access for fire fighting equipment only by bombing with water by the air force and that can only be done during daylight, such a shame as there are many rare animals such as porcupine and newly introduce Fallow deer.
Thank you Morgan, I have moved my van into the town centre, but it is to say the least worrying, the sky has this orange glow like you see over a large uk city at night, but fortunately the wind has died down to a light breeze which seems to be blowing the fire away from the town, I will give an update in the morning.
I apologise for not seeing the humour in your post but when people lives are at risk, with their homes and livelihoods are being destroyed in front of my eyes I find it hard to laugh. Maybe you would feel different if it was the cairngorms that were burning up? The fire is less than half a mile from my home and nothing between it and me other than woodland and scrubland.
Sadly no rain is due here we has a shower 3 days ago that was the first since May and even then it only lasted about 10 mins. It's the wind that is causing concern.
It so sad, a huge fire has swept across the mountains near the town where I live, the sky is heavy with smoke and ash and from here I can see the fire around a medieval tower, built to warn those in the valley about Fires. The air force has dowsed much of the area with water but now it is just a wait and see, we hope that the wind will die or at least not change direction. So far a few properties have been destroyed and no news of any fatalities thank goodness.
