I usually avoid gloating but if McCain wins I'm going to rag your butt every chance I get. Not because I will be overjoyed but because I am so sick of hearing you call him an old war monger dude. Old war monger would be fine but when you add the dude part it really insulting.

I haven't read the whole threas so I'm sorry if this is a repeat.

I believe people should be able to make their own decisions and not worry about approval of others. People may disagree with your reasons for not having children but I believe most would respect your right to choose as the bottom line is that it is your choice. I hope you also respect other's who believe having children is also their right.

Personally, I've got one and he's grown and on is own. I want no more but I do enjoy practicing the art of childmaiking with the right person

On a serious note. There was a really good biography on Lincoln, yesterday on the history channel. He, despite his faults and the civil war was one of if not the best one we've had thus far. JMHO

Yes, I'm in the military and I've spent a lot of time in countries where there have been large populations of Muslims. The time spent in those countries lwas a great opportunity despite the circumstance and left me with a pretty good impression of the majority of the Muslims I met.

That was nice but not the most important thing. I believe the most important thing is that we cannot and should not discriminate, profile, highlight or anything else against an entire group based on where they're from, what their religeon is or the color of their skin. This is one of our country's basic values and we've all seen what has happened in the past when we treated others unfairly. The fact that these guys got into America and did what they did is horrible but we're not going to change the possibility of that happening again by fearing all Muslims.

Anyway, I'm tired and need some sleep. Enjoy the night.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Karen but they haven't had my area of expertise in the Whitehouse since the Clinton years. Maybe there's a job opening for me in Florida...

It was a good debate. Fairly clean after the hate campaign issue was discussed. I thought both did a good job of discussing their plans and neither scored really big over the other. Now it's time for the American people to decide on who to support.

Despite all the accusations, rumors, etc posted in this and other forums Americans now have to decide on who will serve best and who they trust. Each have their own reasons for voting for their person.

There are aspects/policies of both candidates I don't agree with but given the limited choice I would vote McCain. Having said that, if Obama wins he'll have earned it and will therefore have my backing. I would hope this will be the case regrdless of who is elected and we can put all the hype away for a couple years. I guess we'll find out soon enough

On a side note, One of the first things we'll need to do as we come together is to find something else for Dude to talk about. Poor guy's about to be unemployeed.
