RE: broken hearts purple hearts

There really are some really heartless people in this world but on the upside, there are some really good ones too. Sorry this happened.

RE: Tell us some places you have visited.....And places you want to visit....Why?

I just had a 10 day vacation in Turkey. It was my first vacation there and I really enjoyed it. Next vacation will be Ireland. Always wanted to see the homeland.

RE: On seven year anniversay of 9/11 ludicrous theory is disseminated

What I find disturbing is that some of the same people who insult the intelligence of this government's leadership can buy into the idea they were capable of conspiring to pull off an event this complex without a peep leaking out. The guy was only in office for 9 months, hardly enough time to plan much less execute this type of operation. Also, as much as people hate President Bush I would have thought some of the "credible" press would have went out on a witch hunt a long time ago. Alex Jones, Loose Change, etc...are not in the least bit believable and the legitimate press (even the far left and far right biased press) know this to be true which is why they don't waste their time or reputations on it. Shoot, Clinton can't get his wand waxed in the oval office without having it leak out (pun intended) and we expect secrecy or ignoring a terrorist plot from thousands of people. I think not.

I thought Popular Mechanics did an excellent job in explaining why the towers collapsed and I also saw the photos released from the gas station near the pentagon but it clearly hasn't.

RE: Obama for President.............A clear soloution is prosperity and peace!!!

I have to agree with you on this one. The Gaffe wasn't a gaffe at all. The statement was taken way out of context and it did serve to eliminate another rumor about John McCain sreading the Muslim disinformation about Obama..

That doesn't change the fact Obama's a loserlaugh And he's behind by 3 points at the moment. I saw Dude's earlier post regarding the gallop poll. Seems Gallop is only a good source of polling information when they reflect Obama in the lead. I suspect this will not change much througout the rest of the election (A statistical tie) unless one of the candidates does something really stupid.

My prediction, this will be a repeat of the 2000 election. Obama may win the popular vote but he'll lose the electoral votes and McCain will win overall. Or worse, he'll lose both but by a small margin. Whatever happens, I'll be glad when it's over

Well, I was a long trip and it's Sparky's bedtime. Just happy to be back in Alabama... Later all.

RE: Many thanks to Sparky55!

Hi Jeffrey,

You're most welcome. I really enjoyed meeting you and really appreciate the fact that you attended the retirement ceremony. As for any assistance or kindness I showed, I am sure you would have done the same. You are a good person and I wish your arrival had been better thought out by your sponsor.

Best of luck to you in the future. It's a small world, perhaps we'll bump into each other again sometime. Jerry

For the rest of you, thanks for your kind comments. Hope I run into more of you guys at some point in time.

RE: Two America's

WOW! You could be the speech writer for the man himself.. laugh

RE: Two America's

The lack of that could be even more frustrating

RE: Two America's

That really depends on your definition of DNC. Is it Democratic National Convention or Divorce in North Carolina.. laugh

RE: Two America's

Probably. I am shocked that such an honorable man could make such an error. I'm sure Kennedy, Obama (The man himself) and the rest of the bunch are shocked at this breach of honor.

Then again, pulling all those hundreds of thousands of homeles veterans from underneath those bridges could impair one's judgement. laugh

RE: Two America's

Yeah, me too. It's not as though she doesn't have enough to be concered about.

RE: Fillosophy

I don't think teeth have anything to do with it. You're more than likely much smarter than I is.

RE: Two America's

Yep and I know which one he's living in.. laugh

RE: Fillosophy

Well they took all four wisdom teeth at once. It was so neat. The needle went in my arm and the next thing I knew the doc was helping me out of the chair. Thank God for legal drugs...

RE: Fillosophy

Well, they used to be handy back in the day when you could use one eo break into your car if you locked your keys insdie. Other than that, they pretty much just make a mess. I use plastic

RE: Alternative film plots

First Blood... Naw, not even I will go there

RE: Fillosophy

I don't know about the other things but I don't care for wire hangers either. As I understand it, neither did Joan Crawford.. laugh

RE: Fillosophy

Was that a typo?confused

Damn, I am on it tonight... laugh

RE: Fillosophy

Im highly allergic to pain and the sounds of their tools drives me nuts.. laugh Seriously, they had to drug me to remove my wisdom teeth, I am such a wimp..

No loss of wisdom jokes please.. laugh

Her First Time

I am more of the mellow type too. I may go into Fuegos or there a nice little Irish pub at the base of the staps next to the Intercon. I stay away from the madness portion but I wanted him to see it all.

Sorry you can't make it but hope you enjoy the BBQ. You have a great weekend too. cheers

RE: Fillosophy

Well damn!, if no one else has anything to say.... I'm in a damn good mood, it's the weekend, the weather's great and I got through that damn dental appointment with no pain (I hate going to the dentist). So, life is friggen great.

Her First Time

HI Bebe, Yes, I have been really tied up with work. Normally I like being tied up but the work is getting a bit rough. Only 18 days left, hope the fish are biting...

Her First Time

I aw at the dentist's office today and it reminded me of this poem.. laugh

Her First Time

She whispered "will it hurt me?"
"Of course not" answered he
"It's a very simple process,
You can rely on me."
She said "I'm very frightened,
I've not had this before.
My friend was sore." had it five times
And said it can be

It was growing rather painful
Tears formed in her eyes
It was hurting quite a bit now
It must have been the size.

"Calm yourself" he whispered
"His face filled with a grin
"Try and open wider
So I can get it in."

"It's coming now" he whispered
"I know" she cried in bliss
Feeling it deep within her now
She said "I am glad I'm having this."

And with a final effort
She gave a frightened shout
He gripped it in anguish
And quickly pulled it out.

She lay back quite contended
Sighed and gave a smile
She said "I'm glad I came now
You made it worth my while."

Now if you read this carefully
The dentist you will find
Is not what you imagined
It's just your dirty mind!!

RE: Malta bound

Yes it is. I think you'll enjoy the visit. The area you'll be staying is nice and there's plenty to do. See you next week.. wave

RE: Malta bound

And there are plenty of quieter places to relax and enjoy.
