Well, I've never seen any proof of him planning a war within 30 days of entering office. If you have some, I'd be interested in seeing it. I have seen competing opinions about this or that but nothing to prove such a thing and most of it coming from opposing political interests.
I believe that had there been some sort of proof then those opposing parties would have used it to impeach or take other actions. What I have seen is the opposition using conjecture to gain political clout much like some are doing with the Obama/Gov B issue.
No one could argue the case that GWB is much of a public speaker. He's certainly made his share of mistakes and I think the worst was listening to only a select few of the advisors he had. Had he listened to Powell we would probably have done things much diffrently. Also, if we had a corp of Geneal officers with the backbone to stand up to Rumsfeld rather than the ones who said yes and then later went on to write books about how wrong the war and its strategy were, we probably could have avoided these problems as well. But I digress....
I thought he was actually doing pretty well until the Iraq war started.
I dunno Tom. I think the Dems are gonna be rid of Gov B pretty quick. I may be wrong but I thought I saw something about them begining the process for an impeachment hearing tomorrow.
I think it's a shame that both parties aren't administratively and collectively stomping the crap out of their own when they get involved with this stuff (Especially when it's this obvious). I think doing so would show their supporters that they do have their (supporters) best interest in mind and it would stop or reduce the finger pointing across party lines
Me neither, I'm just going to bow out and cool off rather than react (at least I'll try) When things get like that it's pointless to attempt a logical conversation.
Actually, I have recently been inspired to sell get outta jail free cards, search warrants, senate seats, etc... and A ham dinner really isn't the type of payment I would normally be looking for. I may have asked "What the bleeep bleep bleep is in it for me?" But tiss the season to be jolly..
America's Overnight Sensation Joe the Plumber Owes $1,200 in Taxes Ohio Has a Lien on Him for Nearly $1,200 in Taxes By IMAEYEN IBANGA and RUSSELL GOLDMAN Oct. 16, 2008heres the BEeyouitfull part, some anonyomous party paid it for him..
and now Joe the" tax evader non licensed" plumber has aspirations to run for politics.

Me too, he could do no worse than many of the others currently serving.
It is unfortunate that things like the great commission exists but it is also fortunate that not all Christians have a view of superiority over those who believe differently. You make a very valid point that to do so infringes upon the free will of others.
You are being too kind in stating that it has been insinuated that you (and others who believe as you do) are at best misguided or to be pitied. In fact, it's been stated quite clearly and it's absolutely wrong for anyone to do so.
I understand what you're saying. I guess we'll see over the next few weeks/months. But all these politicians are sleeping with each other, some just thrust a little deeper than others.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Gov B to drop a dime on Obama (if there's something to drop) If he does something like that, he'll still go to jail. If there is something to it and he stays quiet he'll be out in 4 - 8 years... (Pardon)
I saw a short news story today that outlined the reason Ford withdrew its request for government finds/bailout. In short, one of the major reason why Ford did not need to be bailed out is because they are making a lot of money in Europe on their products (At least getting an equal share of the car market). They were using this money to make up for the losses in the US.
One may ask how they are getting their equal share in Europe and the answer is pretty simple. First, they don't have unions and they can keep their cost down and the second is that they make a much better product overseas than they do here. I've been in and out of Europe for the past 5 years and I can honestly say there is no comparison to a Ford product made there and one made here.
I think Ford has finally realized they need to provide Americans with quality products and they are now in the process of moving some of those models to the US. Hopefully they figure out a way to loosen the stranglehold the UAW currently has over the automotive industry in the US.
Well Tom, I posted about this right after it came out but I only posted on the Gov. Blagojevich's role. As you are aware I am no Obama fan and I do agree that his dealings with Rezco and Wright reflected poorly on his judgement. Having said that, the guy did win the election so I think we really need to support him until he does something concrete which causes us to pull that support.
I think trying to tie Obama to this particular Gov. through theory and party relationships isn't right. If there's a clear link established then I'll be right there with you but for now I am just watching to see how all this unfolds. The DA's office and the FBI investigating this seem to be fair and impartial. If there's something to it I am confident it will come out.
Happy Holidays Deniz. I'm going to be at my sisters house for Christmas. She's always the designated host for her wayward brothers. This is the first one I've been home for in over 6 years. Really looking forward to it. Enjoy....

Anyway, just my thoughts on it...
