That's an interesting point. I've always considered this a family squabble and from my experiance, it's never good to find oneself in the middle of a family squabble.

It's really strange when I think about the different places I have been and met up with people I had not seen in years or met people who had mutual friends. That kinda thing is natural here in Alabama though, especially with family members..

One thing is certain though. It's very clear the Palestinians few if any true friends. Yes they have people who support thier cause but I believe that to be more anti Israeli than Pro Palistinian. In other words, they are only pawns in this.
It actually has nothing to do with concern over it falling off. The custom of holding one's wood was developed during exploration of the world's ocens. During those times the crew slept in hammocks due to room restrictions. During the rest period it was not uncommon for men's arms to dangle over the sides of hammocks resulting in circulation being cut off and people falling form their hammocks. Thanks Indy, It's not bad but the fallout from the conflict between Israel and Palestine is being felt all over the region. I hope they can find a solution.
Obama will be in office prior to my arrival in Afghanistan and I believe the surge there will be well underway. Unfortunately, Obama is not going to be a solution as his policies are going to be no different than the outgoing admin. We are in that region until we repair what we broke.
Thanks Jbibiza, I was actually beginning to get comfortable here but getting lazy and feeling unproductive at the same time. Kind of mixed feeling in certain areas but this is something I ultimately want to do until I get tired of doing it.

Yes, I have talked to several people who have done this as well. The money is good, better than I ever considered. It's really a job that offers more than I could have asked for.
