How do you feel about space discovery? Did we benefit by landing on the moon on January 20, 1969. What have we learned by bringing back rocks from the moon?
1. Very curious to know what and who is 'out there'...
2. Ordinary people did not benefit at all; just got higher taxes to pay for it all, then again, many, many people think the moon landings were faked by NASA as in the film Capricorn One. Part of a (another) huge conspiracy of deception by the Feds...
3. The Moon is not made out of cheese contrary to Walt Dizzy (Disney)

Not in our lifetimes...if ever, should we survive any nuclear holocaust...and start again from a new 'Stone Age'.

If all the great explorers didn't take a chance, where would we be now?

Probably back in the various countries where our ancestors came from originally...
And a lot of countries would have been spared being 'discovered' then conquered and pillaged by 'civilized' savages...

Why is it important to learn "where did we come from"?
Who says 'it's important'? And if it is, who says that all need to know...most people don't care as it doesn't help in their daily lives fraught with problems...especially now.

Lives have been lost in the challenge of finding out "what's out there". Is it worth it?
No one forced any explorers into their voyages. Some people simply have an insatiable curiosity to find out 'what is out there'...If I had the chance to land on and explore Mars, I would in a micro second... and yes, that would be worth the risks not only for my own satisfaction in actually seeing and touching the photographed ruins there which I personally believe to be true, but also for others to know if Humanity can survive there and colonize it with fast garbage food outlets all over the planet!
Rather than view it all as History, I see it as 'Hysteria'; always have loved to study World Hysteria...

Rarely do people set out to actually start a civil war. Invariably, when such wars do breakout both sides consider themselves to be the aggrieved ones...Right now through out the US, even though the Left as control of all the institutions of cultural power and prestige---universities, movies, literary publishing, 'mainstream journalism', as well as the Federal courts, and the Presidency, they feel themselves still oppressed and threatened by traditional religion and conservatism. And even though the 'Right' has now lost control both houses of Congress, they still have have unprecedented outlets for their views in nontraditional media and an ever increasing dominance over the religious and economic lives of one and all, they still feel themselves oppressed and threatened by the cultural dominance of the Left, and all are still somewhat considered as 'good Americans'.
They are threatened, just as they are also threatening, because nobody is willing to accept the simple idea that someone can disagree with their group and still be a loyal, decent human being worthy of respect.
Can it lead to civil war?
Very simply, yes. Absolutely. The moment one group feels itself so aggrieved that it uses either its own weapons or the weapons of the State to 'prevent' the other side from bringing about its supposed 'evil' designs, then that other side will have no choice but to take up arms against them. Both sides will truly believe the other side to be the instigators and they will swear by CNN, FOX, or which ever network spins the loudest propaganda.
The vast majority, will of course, be horrified, but they will mobilize whether they like it or not.
It's the lessons of Yugoslavia and Rwanda; you die or take up arms against those 'others' whether you had previously hated them or not; then all those considered 'disloyal' will have to also be killed because for some reason they refused to take up arms; others will take up arms to 'protect' from any other majority near them themselves. All that is required is that both sides, all sides take up arms because if you don't, then you will surely die.
It must have been similar, waiting for Fort Sumpter...

The allegations of 'camps' built by the Feds or the 'secret govt.' have been around since at least the late 50's. I've been hearing about them and their supposed purposes since the mid 60's. Same with all the alledged photos puporting to show them in various isolated locations throughout the US. All out of focus, grainy shots alleging to be 'holding camps' with dark shadows of 'guards' waiting to receivee vast amounts of US citizens for the various crimes they will supposedly commit against the up and comming US govt. dictatorship to usher in a world dictatorship...some photos alleging to show new identifying shoulder patches on the uniforms of 'special shock troops'. These were widely circulated when Rockerfella was VP under Ford...stories of 'barefoot soldiers' from the UN, being secretly smuggled into the US from Africa to be on a 'stand-by alert' for civil unrest in the southern states and that Paisley of CBS was one of the crimminal masterminds along with Nelson Rockerfeller to take over the US and form their one world dictatorship...and all this still continues to be broadcast...still without any proof that would stand in a court.
History is never proved, only supposed. No matter how much evidence you collect, you're always guessing about cause-and-effect, and assuming things about dead people's motives. Since even living people don't understand their own motives, we're hardly likely to do any better with the dead.
Keep testing your guesses against the evidence. Keep trying out new guesses to see if they fit better. Keep looking for new evidence; proof, even if it all disproves your old hypotheses. With each step you get just a little closer to that elusive thing called "the truth". With each step you see how farther away the truth is than you ever imagined it to be.
"The truth" is either hidden behind a bodyguard of lies or it is hidden in plain sight; unrecognized for what it really is...but yet to the paranoid, the 'truth' is everywhere to be seen but just can't be proved...

That's a relief However, as you familiarize yourself with the theories involving Cygnus X-3, you really should also look up the astounding 'hard science' from Pierre Teillhard de Chardin, Society of Jesus, world famous biologist and paleontologist.
Perhaps his main works, The Phenomenon Of Man, The Vision of the Past, Christianity and Evolution, and Toward The Future will expand what I perceive is a very limited view and unscientific understanding of the phrase 'intelligent design' so loosely thrown about by the usual throngs of near hysterical religious fundamentalists. They have taken an old phrase and made a mockery of it and all the hard research that has gone into it . It now has one insipid interpretation in North America, and a whole different context in Europe diametrically opposed in the details , where it really matters. You'll be fascinated...

This is nearly exact in the Egyptian Book Of The Dead; the proof of a religion is in the life, not the words, which is also echoed throughout many other religions and philosophies but which, sadly, Humankind doesn't take seriously...

In regards to 'Darwin's theory' of evoluttion, while other theories have been mentioned, what about the theory on Cosmic Evolution through cosmic rays...Cosmic Irradiation, (from Cygnus X-3) or is no one here familiar with that theory?? It is certainly as good as or better than Darwin's very limited theory.

From what I gather it depends on location as to loosing , ie. home and possessions...and under what circumstances; in the US, primary cause seems to be defaults on home mortgages and job loss, here in Europe it seems to be job loss and the resulting general financial losses from it with almost no mortgage issues.
However our crunches haven't really started yet. They soon will.
Those in both govt. and private sectors will be creating new compressed positions wherein the work of 2 or 3 others will be consolidated for one person to do, which will result in hours being cutback as well as positions being cut totally resulting in job loss. This will be wide in all sectors. This will even affect those in the Information and State Security sectors, This of course will have a domino effect that will not be good or positive except for those who can take advantage of breakdowns, especially in security matters, from immigration to national security matters.
So far , as is usual, only "the Arts" and Arms industries and services are insulated and will continue to profit...People will part with and purchase objects of Art and the values will only go up; people will go without in many places to get their hands on weapons to get what they want...Any devaluation of any currencies will have no effects in these matters whereas in the streets, it will be a slow panic at first.
You should spend more time in the streets and listen to people in various cities; the real "nitty-gritty" issues that are worrying people. A potential looming depression is not a social science class to be observed.
