Short, conservative hair looks far better, and the shorter hair pic of you is much more handsome— just saying. I’ve never liked long hair on a guy, and the men I’ve known with long hair have been, by and large, derrière caverns. The pony-tail ones are always egotistical smart-@$$es...jmo
Things are out of control. Many people, like the drowning man, are grasping at straws trying to find a vent. Of course it doesn’t make sense to handle hundreds of items a day others have touched, and then get freaked out by one bag. It’s her way of coping, goofy or not. I use a “carry-along” or my own knapsack. They can’t pack it to suit me, anyway, so I do it myself. It’s a win-win. I try to remember there are bigger fish to fry.
By now you’ve likely heard about the mass shooting and deaths at a Colorado grocery store—-please keep these families in your hearts and prayers. This is happening a lot in the U.S. Thanks. I have friends near there, so will be getting in touch to make sure they are OK.
This community (Coos Bay) doesn’t seem to be really keen on lending and borrowing. Personally, if I know and trust the person, I’ll extend a loan. I have been known to borrow, myself, but very seldom. (It’s not necessary right now...knock wood!*) Neighbors borrowed recently, and haven’t been able to pay back everything. They’re not the kind to cheat;times ARE difficult. I guess I’d have to say it depends on the individual. Borrowing once in awhile, in my opinion, is tolerable, but making it a habit creates a problem. Remember: usually, but not always, if someone is borrowing, they are already in too deep and repayment may not occur. It’s hard right now, though, and I have enough, plus, so have decided to be kind about it and lend to known friends if I’m able. hi Ali ..
*if you didn’t know, saying “knock wood” means you’re blessing luck on the situation...
It’s tough out there. I suppose a better, less “violating” way would to open a clear line of communication with the person you’re dating, meet some of their friends, family, what organizations they belong to, what they do for a living [this is excellent: many professions require police/background checks to be spic n span; having this kind of job would maybe not be a guarantee, but it would wipe away a few cobwebs..]. Personally, I believe whole-heartedly in red flags. Pay close attention—-
I have always considered it this way: if that other person ran a background check on YOU, (and you are aware, of course..) would you like it? The answer to this is your answer.
Hi Ali. Yes, I’m absolutely certain they feel both physical and emotional pain. If you get the chance, watch “Greyfriar’s Bobby”. Older ( 1960’s) version. It is the true story of a Skye terrier owned by a very poor, old man. When he dies, the townspeople cannot get Bobby to leave his master’s grave. Have a handkerchief ready...
How I envy your ability to be judgmental, why, you’re right up there with God Almighty. Yes, in my life I’ve had one ( or two) drinks too many, yes, you’re right— I’ve been guilty of talking too loudly a time or two. I never step on anyone’s toes, not on purpose, anyway, but I’ve probably been guilty of it in long past...so sorry for my imperfections, I own them and will do everything humanly possible to improve myself as much as one can in this life. Keep on reminding me of things I should be doing or not doing, I’ll be equitable in how I view it. I’m not on CS to “ fight” or harbor Negative feelings, actually I got up this morning with a great deal of optimism, and love for the people and pets in my life...so sorry you are harboring such angst, I see it with others you talk with. At first I thought you were being a little funny, like Benny Hill or Monty Python, but you’re rhetoric lately indicates a deep, sorrowful emotional chasm that is not, apparently, healing. I choose to pray for you, and wish you over and over, many blessings. Take care.
Look, I need some help here, I mean it. This little old lady is the epitome of superfluous worrying. She has melt- downs at traffic lights...geeze Louise...pray for me, will you? But I love her....mercy...nice to see you today. Hey, I got one for you, and it’s appropriate...
Freddies is our (Oregonians) nickname for “Fred Meyer”, a super- store with everything. Other regions have “Kroger”, which is more or less the same, and same conglomerate. I think they also have “Red Salmon”, and “Arctic Salmon”. You can buy your pharmacy supplies, housewares, clothes, jockstraps, groceries, some furniture, speedos, jockstraps, um, electronics, art supplies, jockstraps......
hey there...is it cold in your neck of the woods? I used to have friends living in Back-Bay (?) haven’t ever been to MASS. So am not “ in the know”. The row houses look nice, from the pics.
Howdy. One of the things that’s bugging me lately is the lack of interesting thread topics on here. I mean, I think, “all these different countries, cultures, current events, etc... and we can’t seem to come up with very much. How about let’s talk about our lives, interests, etc...we could start a very cool talk...today I’m driving to Freddie’s to get a can of pink salmon for my friend. She’s sort of like a grandma/ auntie to me...calls just to call. I asked if she needed anything else besides the can of salmon, “ no”, and just one can at that...a little eccentric. Then I plan to go to the beach/bay...take a stroll, work the boardwalk... get some fish n chips, I like mine with salt and vinegar...hey guys, I’m trying to get a thread going!
RE: This Takes The Cake
You are absolutely right. Spot-on.
