No, self confidence and arrogance are two completely different things. I like a man with self confidence, not a "shrinking violet" type. But that said, if a man is overly confident/arrogant/egotistical, I have an automatic "OFF" switch!! And it doesn't matter how charming, good-looking, humorous, etc he is..... he just won't do it for me!!
My raison d'etre is not to stroke someone's ego.... that's not to say I'm not prepared to be praiseworthy, appreciative and make him feel great when its due....
But you've only got odd socks, haven't ya, Graham??!!
Thank God you didn't damage yer coccyx, eh? Then all those bloody thongs would have to come out..... ohh, heaven forbid!! AND, God.... no, not the one with the wobbly eyes!!
Sorry, Yubba, but I do think that's rather harsh!!
This man had a dilemma and wanted some viewpoints. It happens a lot and that's perfectly okay, particularly as he had expressed himself in an understable and courteous manner. Most of us, at times, can't see the wood for the trees, particularly in affairs of the heart, and often two/several heads are better than one?
Besides, there are very often threads containing absolute inane drivel that don't receive such unfavourable responses as the one you gave, and perhaps should.
Its all a diverse and interesting mix. Though, please note my remark re. courtesy?
Well.... not ME, but perhaps just one take on Internet dating?

I do wonder..... I'm sure there must be. What with several billion on the planet, if only through the laws of averages?! Its just that I haven't met one yet....
An "old bird" like you...??!! Normally I would say not to fish for compliments, but you don't need to anyways, love. I am not one for platitudes, as you know, I speak as I find, but I have to say you look stunning in that photo.....
Hi, Jackson!! A delight to see you, of course.... though we don't get to see you anything like as much as we should, love!!
My folks had chickens in Cyprus, but I don't have any, no. I recently went out with a fella for a while that turned out to be a chicken.... does that count?!
Pretty important, yes. I am not so houseproud that I live in a show-home but I am rather clean and tidy(ish). But, as there is a world out there and a life to be lived AND the housework will still need doing long after I am gone, so.....
Sweetheart, I would dearly love to come. It sounds like a lot of fun and it would be fab to meet you, of course! Sadly, I will be unable to this time round.
I suggest you re-read what you have posted here and re-assess whether those thoughts and feelings realistically equate to someone who's company you shared for just 2 hours?
Take heed of what Druidess said, in particular keeping in touch but give her space......
RE: Staying Online Instead of the Real World??
I think there is a lot of truth in that... and a lot of wisdom!!Well, my time has come...!!
Luvs ya.... you know who you are!!
