There have been a fair few instances whereby someone new has come along and has proved to be a spammer. Some have been caught out and, as a result, I think it may have usettled some members. Its probably just down to be over-cautious and wary, I don't think you need take it personally.
Besides, not all signed up will end up going. Does it matter about the ratio anyway? Its a beautiful city to enjoy and there are some fab people going, a great opportunity to make new friends?!

I think you'll find that if he has temporarily hidden his profile, the mails and flowers would still be there. If they have gone, the Mods have deleted him or he has cancelled his profile permanently.
There could be many reasons for this, he just may have a lot of RL stuff going on. Don't necessarily think its anything to do with you.
It is disappointing, yes, but there will be other opportunities, I have no doubt.

Familiarity breeds contempt, as the saying often goes.....
Perhaps YOU communicate a little less with her for a while? If she truly cares for you, she will then start to wonder if you are "going off the boil", i.e. losing interest. If she doesn't want to lose you all together, she will make sure she keeps the lines of comunication open. And then it progresses from there....
You must be prepared, however, for disappointment, just in case. But either way.... you will have a definitive answer, yeah?
