Over here in the UK, our National Health Service is not ENTIRELY free, its free at the point of delivery. For everyone.

It is paid for at source, i.e. through taxes.

I would never want to get rid of our health service, it enables the less fortunate (financially) to get the treatment they need.

Otherwise, it would mean only private healthcare and that would result in the poor being ill, untreated and, in some cases, die!!
