RE: So honesty is the key is it?

I don't feel that your list contains anything of real concern.... you seem a very pleasant fella to me. You seem to have been honest and that is to be commended and admired.... a rarity on sites such as these, it would appear.

Good luck to you with what/who you seek..... cheers

RE: Why Not To Question a Drunk!

Reminds me of a time when I was walking through a carpark to get my car after work and go home....

I was wearing a short-ish skirt (long time ago) and heard a voice behind me say "You've got bloody fantastic legs, love". I turned around to find a down-and-out slumped in the corner, drunk!

Ohh welll.... sigh

Actually, I did have great legs but that was a very, very long time ago....!!

RE: is your past, too much baggage

thumbs up Absolutely correct!

When you get to, say, your 40s, 50s and beyond, if you have no "baggage" you haven't lived much, have you?

I think if one can't accommodate, to an extent, someone's "baggage", one is going to be alone for a very long time! The choice is there.....

Perhaps TAKE what you can from experiences and GIVE what you can to relationships?

Another nice pic I see, Dan!! wave

RE: All this talk about Transparency, is it a good idea?

Claims of transparency (re. corporations, government, employers) are worth about as much as claims of accountability. Its all about ticking a box, looks good on paper. The actual transparency we get comparative to those claims is minimal.

With regard to relationships, its individual, of course.

Hi Dan! wave

RE: Who 'needs' a partner?

I have always, by nature, worn my heart on my sleeve, Ambrose.... and its invariably been to my detriment, left feeling foolish. Thanks for the advice though, my friend, which seems sound advice, as usual.... I will try?!

RE: Who 'needs' a partner?

Do you think she may have just been a little wary? Afraid to show too many feelings because of vulnerability/rejection perhaps?

I am learning a lot from this thread, particularly from the male perspective. Thanks for the candor from the guys.....

Excellent!thumbs up
