If it's 'what' would we take with us, I'd take the Bodleian Library.
If it's 'who', I'd like to take my daughter and granddaughter, but may they live on the other side of the island so I can read at least three sentences without interruption?
I can be a little grumpy if the dawn chorus comes to early.
The early one sounds like, "Gugu (pronounced kGeekGee, Welsh for Nana) Gugu, Gugu, Gugu, I'm huuuungryyy, Gugu, Gugu, Gugu..."
It's the rudest and most painfully high pitched of alarm clocks.
I think my granddaughter's getting the hang of sounding the alarm and then running away for 10 minutes. I usually get over myself by the second, or third snooze repeat.
They just fill in the required characters with .............. or wjjasnvkj qjfnkja avmn.
Maybe it would be a good idea for you until you think of something. Maybe focus on just learning some social skills for now by joining in with all the site has to offer.
PS. It'll help if you familiarise yourself with the children's books The Wind In The Willows by Kenneth Grahame before reading Counselling For Toads.
The back story helps, particularly how Toad's father wanted him to have a career and be an extension of himself, rather than letting him be his own Toad.
When Toad's father died, Toad found himself somewhat at a loss and didn't know how to run his own life, but with help from Heron, he learns how to accept himself and others.
Will you just quit complaining and join in with the fun?
There are people here. Talk to them. Laugh. Make someone's day by being nice to them. Crack a joke. Post a recipe which other people might like. Post a music video. Create a puzzle which other might find fun. Write a poem, or story for other's entertainment. Learn something new about someone else's culture, or country. Debate religion and politics. Post a funny picture, a beautiful one. Share some words to live by. Create an eCard for others to use. Create a quiz for others to take.
It's about trusting that you're perfectly capable of making a life for yourself and relying upon your own judgement.
I cannot recommend the book Counselling For Toads by Robert de Board enough. It's a very, very clever book, but a fun insight into how you can become your own person.
I meant his internal cognitive activity, but now you come to mention it, the whole scenario was like one of those film clips where the protagonist moves slowly, or not at all, whilst all around things are going on at a 'fast forward' pace.
This morning on the train I was sitting at a table seat opposite a young man who was utterly motionless for an extraordinary length of time...with his nose about 4 inches away from a Suduko puzzle on the table in from of him.
His preternatural stillness belied the intense activity plainly going on inside.
I was sitting on the train on the way into work yesterday and the sun was streaming in through the window. From the angle I was sitting the sun lit up and highlighted the perfect whorl of a man's eyebrow in contrast with the curvaceous brush of his eyelashes.
The wonders of the Fibonacci Sequence popped into my mind and the visual image seemed to epitomise the awesomeness and regularity of creation in my soul.
