Don't worry, Nance. I got a whole *(*$! of stuff to do today, and by the time I get back I'll no doubt be feeling like "I Am A Rock" from all the manly distractions (I'll be doing a lot of lifting and heavy moving, you know?).
I remember browsing through a book about how people look better or worse in different colors. As I recall, there are Autumn, Spring, Winter, and Summer peeps (I seem to remember being a "summer" :duuno:). Anyway, I like how my new aqua color brings out the color in my hat.
Yeah - viewing your profile was how I learned of it, Eag. I wonder how long it would've been otherwise before I noticed the "edit color scheme." Probably an eternity and a half, I'm thinking.
For those of us who detest CS's default "gothic/vampire black" for their profile background, you can change that by clicking on "Edit Color Scheme" under My Profile Admin. Very nice option offered by CS.
I don't recall CS ever announcing this change (they probably did and I missed it), but judging from the number of profiles still dressed in black, I would guess that many remain unblissfully unaware of this option.
A remarkably prescient comment by Jefferson, who understood more then about the nature of money control/issuance than most average citizens have even a clue about today.
As I understand it, you can transfer any amount of money you like into your account - it doesn't have to be any particular fraction of an ounce or anything. When you want to sell, you just tell them, and the money (presumably at an unimaginably higher dollar rate) is transferred back to your account.
This allows you to dollar-cost average - just put in the same number of dollars every month. Price goes down, you automatically buy more; price goes up, you automatically buy less.
That's a nice quote, V. It can do some of those things, I think, to some people, and that's where character comes into play. It can only take those things if you allow it to. I'm sure your dad, assuming he's anything like you, would not allow that.
Well, more often than not people you talk to will stop talking to you in fairly short order as the lack of a connection becomes evident. The men disappearing from your mailbox are simply not interested in further communication, VV.
Of course it works exactly the same way in reverse. Most women you start up email conversations with on here will shortly "disappear" as well. It's the nature of the interaction: most of us are not terribly compatible romantically with lots of people.
Jeez, I really hate you guys! Seriously, CC, I am envious.
I love cuddling, but I prefer no strict rules. On any given night I'd like some cuddling and some individual space...really depends on the night and the mood. Just knowing my beautiful one's close by feels great to me.
And from my experience, my lady always enjoys my snoring. Heck, I've been awakened in the middle night with the demand: "You're not snoring loud enough!"
I wanted to thank you, Eag - seeing your profile made me realize we can change the horrid "black as hell" color scheme. Now I feel rather more "homey" on my profile.
Good for you, Who. It requires quite an act of imagination - and I have a pretty good one! - to conceive of feeling that way now, that's for sure. But I have to believe that with time will come peace (if I choose to find it).
A close friend...maybe (though I would dislike it intensely). A relative? Unthinkable.
I should qualify the above: it depends on my feelings toward my ex at the time. If we were simply good friends and I had no intense feelings of love toward her, it conceivably might not matter.
At this point, given how I feel at this moment, that scenario would be unthinkable and unforgivable.
Not Sure How Many Realize Profile Color Scheme Can Be Changed
(I'd cheer you with rum and coke, but sadly they lack that emoticon.)
