Analogy: I weigh up her lips admiringly...the fulness and lushness...decide in my mind how I'm goin' to approach my first contact with them, be it my own lips or perhaps my tongue...and then I stop thinking and just go for it!

It's kinda refreshing to read through the posts. Respect HAS to take precedence over chemistry; ie form the basis for allowing any subsequent chemistry to blossom.

It would seem to me this approach would help many relationships enjoy a healthy stability.

Philosophical indeed. Inspired by certain threads that have really saddened me due to callous and nasty comments from others partners.

It's also linked to my other current thread on the relationship between chemistry and respect. Lots of pitfalls there if one ain't careful...

I believe respect is vital for any relationship to have any chance of success, but that respect is indeed earned, and inspired.

Just interested in peoples views.

Do we feel we deserve, or are entitled to respect within a relationship setting.

OR, should we go about inspiring respect...earning it so to speak?

I mean yes, we all deserve a modicum or respect as fellow hoomans...this is a fundamental.

But in any relationship, surely we have to go about conducting ourselves in such a way so as to be worthy of such respect...inspiring admiration and value if you like?

What say you?
