RE: Long distance relationship.

Long distance? Pah!professor

No way...it's not in my nature...need contact...and I don't mean intimate contact.

Communication, as I've staed many times before, is 70% non verbal. I need to determine so much more than mere typed words can convey, or even words spoken through a phone line.

My radius is small!grin

RE: WILL U STAY FAITHFUL IN A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP?

Wouldn't enter into one...so faithfullness isn't an issue.wine

RE: "IS AGE REALLY AN NUMBER'S GAME"?

Delighted for you dear!wine

Of course, when considering the long term implications, maybe it's not so practical perhaps?

I adore older women...all except one of my relationships have been with older ladies. But long term, I could see problems ahead.

Different strokes and all!wine

Social Anxiety Disorder...I battled it myself when youger.

Yup...several people have alluded to the thought that it matters greatly to see that person making an effort to fight their illness.

Great comment.

All too often the term 'depression' is mis-used...people drag it out when they feel blue or just a bit morose.

Depression compromises every aspect of your life, and for long periods.

Well said again!cheers

You're a cool chicky!hug

RE: Are u easily frustrated or upset?

Ditto.

Anger is irrational and totally pointless.

Must be avoided at all costs.

To be easily frustrated and upset is a bad sign...I tend to avoid such people.

Knowledge is indeed power...spending time with such a person would be even more critical in determining the severity of their depression, and whether or not you could cope with it.

It's so prevelant these days, I'm coming to the conclussion that we all may have to consider how we'd deal with such a situation.

Obviously, the severity of the depression is a highly significant factor also.

Very sobering.

Depression and Relationships.

This isn't a question from a personal point of view...I'm quite at ease with my depression and don't think it poses too much of a problem for future relationships.

BUT!!!

what do you feel about it? If you found out that somebody you were interested in had a depressive illness, would that put you off them?

cheers
