The international forum is, after all, for international events, and things like Brexit, President Trump, the Yellow Vests in Paris, are all genuinely international news stories.
We all have a responsibility to the future, to safeguard our species and our survival by trying to have as many children as possible. Sadly, many people have become selfish and fail to accept that responsibility.
Yes. This "deal" is being stitched up by people who don't want Brexit anyway, so one does not need to be overly cynical to suggest that the real reason for the deal is to make Brexit so unappealing that the idea is dropped altogether.
Britain doesn't need a deal. Britain needs to leave.
Their walls were to keep people in, not to keep people out.
But yes, Eastern Europe is frankly the last hope for Western Civilization, ironically partly due to the legacy of communism. Certainly communism was an evil thing, but in some ways, they did us a favour. They preserved a large part of Europe in a kind of time warp, where the values of the past have clung on more tenaciously than they have in Western Europe. To put it bluntly, the liberalism of Western Europe was more effective at destroying Christianity and Western Civilization that was communism. And for this, we should be grateful to the communists.
I am aware that this thread was created by a Leftist, intending it as tongue-in-cheek mockery of those of us who are concerned for the future of the West.
I will, however, respond in a serious way and say that the single biggest threat to Western Civilization is the people of the West themselves. Without a will to survive, we probably won't.
I am a Europhile, and for this reason, I am strongly against the EU.
I actually like the differences in culture and language and don't want them ironed out by some grey superstate that is basically the reincarnation of the Soviet Union.
