Disappointing (but not surprising) to see how many folks on here, presumably representative of society at large, are perfectly OK with conducting political debate by throwing things at other people.
The people voted to leave the EU. And leave means leave. It does not mean, remain in a union with the EU ad infinitum, bound by all the EU's laws and regulations. Which is what that evil treasonous traitor, Thera May is trying to inflict on the UK.
The real ignorance is that exhibited by people like yourself, Aries, in believing that the political class would actually listen to the people.
Yes, I did open the link, and read some of the article, before replying. Hence my comments.
The article opens with the statement "one of his primary goals is to further gun control in the United States".
It should go without saying that the country that will bear the brunt of this idiot's actions is New Zealand. Yes, it will be that much harder to be a conservative or a nationalist now, in any country. But I do not believe the United States will feel the effect any more or less than anywhere else.
Yes, Vatican II, brought about by Freemasons, Jews, and other non-Catholic influences, largely destroyed Catholic tradition. Not a change for the good, in my opinion, which is why I, as a Catholic, do not support the "Conciliar Church" in the Vatican.
But that is a whole different argument, for which this is probably not the right place.
My point is that the odious Miss Ardern is typical of today's left-wingers, who will make concessions to alien religions that they will not make to Christianity.
I agree, "gun control" is not about keeping people safe. It is about increasing the power and control of the state; an institution much beloved by the neo-Marxists who control the political discourse today.
But I do feel you are barking up the wrong tree by claiming that a man who shoots almost 100 random innocent civilians, killing 50 of them, for reasons specified in a "manifesto" is not a terrorist. If he is not a terrorist, then who is?
Plenty of people like to read comments but don't feel brave enough to post, or perhaps don't feel that they have anything to say.
And don't forget that even those who do post, don't post something every time they view the thread. I view threads I have contributed to, daily, but if the new replies don't particularly interest me, or I don't feel I have anything more to add, I won't reply.
Remember the cheering crowds all over the Middle East on 9/11?
To be fair, some did express sadness and sympathy, but it was far from unanimous. Many ordinary Muslims were clearly enjoying and celebrating the attacks.
Imagine if thousands of people in a Western country hit the streets in celebration after Muslims were attacked........
You are very welcome to air your views. Indeed, I encourage you to do so. The more you have to say, the more opportunity I get to reply, and I enjoy replying. Rest assured that I certainly do not seek to silence you (or anyone else) into submission. I enjoy debate!
Keep telling yourself that, love, if it makes your life more exciting.
Fact is, I respond to any post that provokes me, regardless of who it is from. Maybe it is a bad habit, but when I see left-wing nonsense, I feel duty bound to respond and set the record straight.
It is possible, and has been done before. But you are right - it does raise questions. This is one reason many people are claiming that this may be a "false flag" attack, or a "double bluff" attack by a Muslim convert with the backing of Islamists in Pakistan.
QUOTE: "The country's only convicted plane hijacker has almost completed her prison sentence and is threatening to hijack another aircraft if she gets the chance.
Asha Abdille stabbed both pilots on an Air New Zealand flight from Blenheim to Christchurch in February 2008. One passenger was injured in the incident.
The Somali refugee took knives onto the 19-seater plane, which was forced to make an emergency landing.
Abdille was sentenced to nine years in prison, and her sentence expires on February 7."
Jacinda Ardern is the legitimately elected Prime Minister of New Zealand. By your reasoning, I have to support her, too?
You are confusing recognition with support. Like you, I recognize Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela. But that does not mean I support his policies and actions. Robplum on the other hand, has indicated that he does.
Actually, he didn't. He gave an "OK" gesture. The idea that the "OK" gesture is now a White Power symbol is an urban myth that has been thoroughly debunked.
RE: Bercow the most hated man in England amongst the Brexiteers
Yes.Would it be too paranoid to connect this fact to Liberal1's statement that he has referred our discussions to the FBI?
