"Patronizing" and "patronising" are both accepted spellings of the word.
In my country, the "z" from words like patronize, advertize, organize, etc has given way in recent decades to an "s" but I am not one to be influenced by fads or fashions........
No, it is patronizing if you are old-fashioned, as I am. However patronising, the newer spelling, is also acceptable. Same with organized/organised, advertize/advertise, and many other words.
Perhaps you didn't know that?
No, I'm not looking for offence. I just find it slightly pointless to talk with someone who declares her observations to be "facts" while the observations of other people are, apparently, mere superstitious belief.
As I said before, I respect your right to hold the beliefs you do. After all, God gave you free will.
The belief that a cellphone can not make itself, but the entire universe and everything in it can, is just so preposterous this, yes, I freely admit it is beyond my comprehension.
But I respect your right to believe that if you wish.
I repeated myself because it is a point that needs making.
While many people claim to not believe in a Creator, the very same people accept, whenever they see an item created by human hands, that someone must have created it.
John X may not believe in God, but when he holds his cellphone in his hands, his common sense tells him that someone must have made it. It did not just occur by particles randomly colliding. He takes on faith that someone made his cellphone, because the person who made it is out of sight.
Likewise, the same faith, the same common sense, tells us that the world is also the product of intelligent design, just like John's cellphone.
You wouldn't get me on a motorbike, with or without a helmet! Far too dangerous.
That said, I don't like the "nanny state" law that says one must wear a helmet. In my country, a helmet is legally compulsory for a pushbike too! Damn crazy.
RE: Why do so many women have either tattooed on eyebrow or pencilled on eyebrows?
A lot of women lose their eyebrows, and thus pencil them back on. I suppose they feel the same way about their hair loss as bald men often do....
