RE: Compound Words

No such word, you mean misfit, which doesn't really work here?

RE: Very early Bee Gees

A great band.

RE: Ireland V New Zealand......................Rugby

New Zealand? I was born here. I have visited Australia.

RE: Christians flee Germany

Germany is a basket case.

RE: Is there stigma against gambling..?

Yes. It is regarded as a vice.

RE: Lights....Camera....Action.....

I don't enjoy it.

RE: Women and men.......Money....value shopping....

Reminds me of the Lone Justice song..... you know so maaaaaany ways to be wicked......

RE: What country would you like to visit while taking your two week vacation?

I can't afford to, but I'd love to go to North Korea. There'd be nowhere else quite like it, I am sure.

RE: Do you remember your first time?

You mean the first time driving a car?

I actually drove it into a power pole the first time.

RE: Ireland V New Zealand......................Rugby

Geographically, we're not that close. From memory, London is closer to Moscow than Wellington is to Canberra.....

But culture-wise, we are two peas in pod, cobber!

RE: Ireland V New Zealand......................Rugby

I assume you are serious, and as stated, am genuine,y surprised.

In terms of "as close to NZ" it should be noted that NZ and Aussie are pretty much identical in most respects. There are subtle difference of course, bit overall NZ and Aussie have more in common than say, Yorkshire and Kent.

RE: Should laws that restrict access to guns be abandoned?

Note that in the above post, the emphasis in my quote was not mine.

But yes, people all die eventually of one thing or another.

But I think (or hope) we can all agree that dying prematurely in a mass shooting is a tragedy, and frankly unaccaptable.

The difference of opinion is what we do about it. To my mind, advocating gun control makes as much sense as suggesting we abolish cars because of the accident toll.

RE: Ireland V New Zealand......................Rugby

Seriously?

My question was facetious, but if there really is an Aussie-themed pub, maybe it wasn't such a silly question after all. I am genuinely surprised.

RE: Ireland V New Zealand......................Rugby

Just got back from the local shops. The Irish bar is full of drunk yobbos wearing green and yahooing all over the place......what's that about then?

As an aside, can one of the Irish members let me know how many New Zealand themed bars there are in Ireland?

RE: Have profession, will date...

I would assume they meant rugby.

RE: Some guys are strange

Why do you care who looks at your profile?

RE: Women and men.......Money....value shopping....

I'm exceptionally careful with money. Mean, even. And proud of it!

RE: Have profession, will date...

Not quite sure then why you claim 40 billion people call it "football"?

Or am I missing the humour here?

RE: Have profession, will date...

An interesting comment, given that the entire population of the world is just over 6 billion......

RE: Limerick City from the air

Thanks. I enjoy increasing my knowledge.

RE: Have profession, will date...

Could be an interesting study? Do more people call it football or soccer? I'm not sure.

RE: Have profession, will date...

Haha, you call it football, we call it soccer.

RE: Have profession, will date...

Ah, you mean soccer. Cool.

RE: 2 words backwards

Taylor Lee

RE: What´s the best country to visit in the EU?

I've heard it said that Switzerland is so neat and organized that it is the Switzerland of Europe.....

RE: Jim acosta - guilty or not guilty of putting his hands on a woman

Snopes is not a reliable website.

RE: Maria Helen

The question as to why she crossed your mind?

I'd say perhaps you have a crush on her?

RE: Finland hosted world wife-carrying world championship

I wonder who Finnish-ed first?

RE: Jim acosta - guilty or not guilty of putting his hands on a woman

The reporter in question (I refuse to use his name as I don't want to buy into his PR machine) has succeeded in boosting his profile, and doubtless his value to his employers, but has, thankfully, shown all intelligent people what a clown and a buffoon he is.
