I assume you are serious, and as stated, am genuine,y surprised.
In terms of "as close to NZ" it should be noted that NZ and Aussie are pretty much identical in most respects. There are subtle difference of course, bit overall NZ and Aussie have more in common than say, Yorkshire and Kent.

But yes, people all die eventually of one thing or another.
But I think (or hope) we can all agree that dying prematurely in a mass shooting is a tragedy, and frankly unaccaptable.
The difference of opinion is what we do about it. To my mind, advocating gun control makes as much sense as suggesting we abolish cars because of the accident toll.
The reporter in question (I refuse to use his name as I don't want to buy into his PR machine) has succeeded in boosting his profile, and doubtless his value to his employers, but has, thankfully, shown all intelligent people what a clown and a buffoon he is.
