RE: Who is the Creator?

The word create means, "To make from nothing."

Painters and sculptors don't create anything. They use dye from flowers, etc. to make paint, and clay to make a statue... but they can't create flowers, clay, paintings, or sculptures from nothing.

You might be an artist; but you've never created anything.

RE: Who is the Creator?

Jesus sent out his disciples to teach and baptize in the name (singular) of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost... and in the whole Bible, the only name the any of apostles baptized in was "Jesus."

Without getting into "who's who," or the trinity, or anything very deep-

...it's not hard for 3 people to have the same name.

The name of the Father is Jesus.

The name of the Son is Jesus.

And the name of the Holy Ghost is also Jesus.

Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

The only name anybody was baptized in was, "Jesus."

Acts 8:16
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Acts 19:5
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Psalms 119:81

Psalms 130:5

Lamentations 3:24
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

To simply make one battery cell, you'll need to push the galvanized nail into the lemon. Next, push the copper nail into the lemon close to the galvanized nail, but make sure they are not touching.Mar 4, 2016

RE: Age of Retirement

When I was 23, I heard God tell me not to work for money.

John 6:27
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Luke 12:22-24, 27-32 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

RE: Bitcoin

In the 70's a nice pair of leather boots with full leather lining, and stacked leather soles and heels costed $30.

Now, that same pair of boots costs over $300.

And, you used to be able to drink coffee all night in a restaurant for 25 cents...

The real value of an ounce of gold? $20.

RE: Back to walking long distances today 15th April

An hour walk is hardley a long distance.

That should only get you about 3 or 4 miles. Round trip, that's just 1 1/2 miles to 2 miles from where you began.

If you're serious about a long walk, put on a light pack; and take off for a place you've never been.

Victim Blaming

Thank you for all your thoughts on this matter Mischief. It looks like you've been giving a lot of thought to the issue.

I was commenting in the thread...

And said, I plan on staying single.

And here's where Let_Us aka Blame or Beg, blames me, because, "I make his life worse than it could be," and because, He's a LOSER!

That weak link was a LOSER before I was born! but he takes no responsibility for his own life, and tried to blame me for the fact his life IS less than it could be!

And in spite of the fact that since I'm not here looking for a woman, which makes less competition for him: he still claims...

Victim Blaming

It seems like you'd understand this better than most of us...

It might help if you take the list we've been commenting on; and try to fit it onto the "victim blaming" you're asking about.

For instance: How is "Victim Blaming" being used to control your behavior, etc, etc?

I think that with a little effort, you can teach us things about the world you live in that we've never considered.

Please try.

Victim Blaming

Good points. Thank you for posting them here.

Blamming may be just one subset of a number of things; but think about how many things on your list are accomplished with blaming.

1 • Jealousy and may often imagine his partner is having affairs:

"Because of the way we make them feel when we..."

2• Tries to isolate his partner:

"They don't trust you."

3 • Tries to control his partner.

"You need to prove you can be trusted."

4 • Jekyll and Hyde personality.

"Look at how crazy we make them."

5 • May have other problems with the law.

"They were framed."

6• Explosive temper and may fly into a rage without provocation.

(See 1-5)

7 • Tell his partner it is all her fault and projects own faults onto wife.

Aka, Blames her.

8 • Verbal assault (insults, putdowns, slanderous names) in addition to physical assault.

"After putting up with so much false blame, you should expect to be physically assaulted by them too; just ask them; they'll tell you who's fault it is." lol

9 • Comes from a family where violence was practiced.

"If it's not your fault, it must be their mom who deserves the blame."

10 • May be more violent when partner is pregnant or soon after giving birth.

"The baby's fault.".

11 • Denies the beatings or their severity or seems not to remember.

"Then you get blamed for lying!"

Blaming can also come in the other forms you mentioned too; and, it looks pretty much like all those bad traits can be found in a "victim blamer."

RE: which colour clothes were you told suit's you best............?

I was wearing green cammoflaug pants with a blue shirt, when my friend's sister told me how bad my clothes matched, "Green and blue don't go together!" etc, etc.

In my defense, I told her to look around...

Almost every color in Hawaii is a shade of green or blue.

I don't care what anyone says...

My clothes may not match; but they match me.

RE: which colour clothes were you told suit's you best............?

I can wear any color.

As long as it doesn't have a "u," like colour.

Relatively speaking, why bother?

According to Einstein...

This hour can go by faster than the next minute, for you OR me.

Once we try measuring time for you AND me, it gets more complicated.

Ok, I'll look it up.

But, in the light of Australian Aborigines exploring the Pacific Ocean, sailing to South America and up to the Caribbean 50.000 years ago, and their offspring still being in the Amazon and Tierra Del Fuego...

It's hard to be impressed by 40,000 year old pedestrians.

Thanks for all the laughs.

No more children for me.

RE: European Mass Migration

Where are they now?

RE: European Mass Migration

Ok.

Let's assume God made Adam and Eve's for every race, and put white people in Europe, and black people in Africa, etc., etc...

If white people aren't the inferior race... how come they waited so long for leave the worst real estate on the planet?

Why were Europeans so primitive, until they learned technology from China and the Arabs?

Why did they need to learn navigation, how to make steel and boats, and our alphabet from other people?

Why do Europeans hold up Greece as a model of civilization, when Socrates, Archimedes, and the rest of the Greeks learned math and philosophy, and their religious beliefs from Africa?

RE: European Mass Migration

What's your theory?
