The best part of the Continental US is the waterways.
Most cities are on the shore; and there's over a 12,000 mile loop of navigable waterways around the East Coast, to the Mississippi River, and up the Missouri River... the Florida Everglades, Boston, the Hudson River...
Islands with nice people are all over the route.
There's old Mississippi paddle boats; and historic boats that make the trip: or you can buy a boat in Minnesota where they're well kept and cheap: then sell it for a profit in Florida.
Skip the hotels and campgrounds... anchor in a secluded bay, without a permit.
There's floating casinos all along the way, with all the crab legs and steak you can eat for less than $10.
I've traveled every Interstate, US Highway, and a whole bunch of country roads in America.

It's when I keep in communication with God, and leave no room for people to take his place, that I feel him in my life the best.
In the end... I'll be alone with God. No amount of begging and pleading can stop that from happening: so I practice getting used to it, everyday.
