So if I understand you correctly, you seem to be referring to the EU forums on CS, in relation to the 'Europe' posters being 'less understanding'...I think nevica's suggestion for you to try instead, to use local sites and forums, possibly referred to using local dating sites other than CS. We all know that due to the low numbers and the posting rate on the EU forums here on CS, could never possibly be used as a medium for dating.
But I've been to Spain, mainly lived in Madrid, though a brief visit to Granada, Andalucia. What I know is that people there just about never sleep, so there is plenty of opportunity to socialise...Make sure you learn the Spanish language well enough to allow you to converse easily with the locals and they will embrace you.
If dating is not the barrier, then I am unclear as to your concern. All the best in your quest, though.
Just a quick link to my Elementary/Jr.High School and a pic of it as well so it gives you a good idea of the designs my great-grandfather did. The color scheme is very similar to UTEP's. :)
Thanks for that, ReaderOfSouls(love the name!!)- Yes, I can see the similarity. That National Geographic did well with its influence. How gorgeous. The style of architecture ruly suits the ambience of El Paso.
btw, I looked up 2 children/youth books in the school library. Both were stocked - Neil Gaiman's 'Coraline' and the 'Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon...Impressive.
I guess not...I was really thinking of the visual aesthetics only, which requires only appreciation as you can't exactly miss the look of the buildings.
Were any of your grandfather's designs after Bhutanese architecture, or was it contained only within the El Paso university?
May I ask, as you've mentioned it...Judgemental about what?... Are you saying that the locals, unlike distant CS'ers , judge you about something or other, and that this acts as a barrier to dating? ...
That's really great to hear about your friend. Obviously he organises the trips in a way that the word spreads. Just looking at the link you posted, I can see why.
I would love to do such a thing in a certain part of Italy where I have my home. I was speaking to a woman last night, a friend of a friend, who suggested cooking classes from a local. Basically, most of us seek out new experiences through other cultures.
oops, forgot to mention...I met a nice chap through Uli when she was here a couple of years ago...I've dropped in to his cellar shop a few times, and he is a pal. We never did go to an Italian dinner dance he'd spoken about...I now refer to it as a Clayton's date.
A couple of years ago, I dated one man from here in the sense of one-to-one relationship. He was someone from Wisconsin. It didn't turn out as we just weren't suited but we did meet.
I visited a CS'er pal in Dublin and I stayed for 7 days. He had been just a pal until then, but we developed a real attraction for each other, which I think must have been smouldering before we met but never acknlowedged.
I have had coffee with a local a couple of times, a nice enough chap but we didn't pursue further... A couple of others I had met off CS, then invited them to join this site. No romantic interest but nice enough to catch up...As for distance pals from here, I know that if we were local, we would catch up for sure.
But then I don't use CS as a dating site...Maybe that's the trick.
Isn't it absolutely so!...And that's a fantastic acknolwedgment of those players' talents!.
I have a buddy in Dallas Fort Worth(I was there in '96)...I might ask him if he's been to the El Paso campus. ...I wonder if anyone here has visited the place. Would love to hear their comments.
What an amazing little place! This lady, Lisa Napoli did just that...Sheis the lady who wrote the Shangrila book...Did you know the average income is about $1400pa and there is not one traffic light???
Did you watch the second vid?
(Could someone you please try and post it so it opens up, yanno, the bit?...my three attempts have failed. )
RE: Epicurean Philosophy To Happiness
Wouldn't mind some lamb roast right now...ah, the smell of rosemary and garlic...
